This movie was dumb. It was designed to get people to hate Kroc. The relatives of the characters claimed the brothers wanted to retire, and when Kroc made McDonald's worth millions they sold Kroc the business. The men were middle aged. Kroc would retire in the 70s handing the business over to someone else. The brothers didn't care about quality food. Relatives said if that were true why sell burgers, fries, milk shakes? That isn't healthy quality food. LMAO. Good point.

I really identify with what you said about being an artist/creator being really solitary and isolating. It’s a weird duality where you want to work with people to make cool stuff but no one wants to work with you until you’ve shown them you can make cool stuff lol. I’m happy for you that you’re getting more opportunities to collaborate on big projects and make things you wouldn’t have been able to do alone. Awesome job, man. It sounds great.

This is Keatons best performance. This movie is perfection. Despite all its failures, there is something so beautifully American about raw capitalism.

It’s ironic that Ray “Krocs” was obsessing over the name McDonald’s, claiming it sounds so American and that no one would eat at a place called “Krocs” because it was Slovak. The last name “McDonald’s” is not American either; its origins are Irish or Scottish and/ or both, so it’s just ironic that he thought was his perception of an American-sounding name that made the brand so successful.

Never really thought about why a hamburger place would have a Scottish name. In Scotland we batter our burgers and deep fry them. It's called a hamburger supper

I remember you could go to McDonald’s and get a burger fries and a Coke for pretty cheap now it’s just outrageous

now it means meat from a warmer, poorly made food, little customer service, and to-go orders you have to check before leaving.
