Life saver! That's all I have to say. Thank you so much.
Hi, Awesome video! Exactly what I was looking for. I do however have a small issue that you might be able to help with. I have followed all your steps and everything works fine, until the concat step. Power automate states that it's an invalid xpath function. My code is: xpath(outputs('ComposeXML'), concat('sum(//root//values[normalize-space(title)=', item(), ']/enterprise[number(.)=number(.)])')) the "[number(.)=number(-)]" is there because for some reason xpath wont sum unless I define the number as that. The number is a float, so that might be the culprit but I'm not sure. Do you have any advice on how to fix this?
This is great, thank you

What about Power Apps?
I'm trying to apply this to my site pages.. but I can't seem to get it to work..
Any further details :)
Sean that is a great video. But, can I use this method without having a Power Apps Premium license (Prod Environment)?
I've heard of people getting away without it but you should double check if that's a bug or expected.
Hi, great content.. I have similar use where I am getting data in Power BI and want to export it to excel using Power Automate button, but here is a point.. I have total around 7-8 categorical or text fields/columns, which are dynamic based on field parameter so I mean sometimes user may select 4 or sometimes 5 or sometimes 8 so all these fields should be group by and come in first column/one column with hierarchical structure like: Name Value Column1 100 Column2 100 Column3 100 Column4 100 Column5 100 Type1 50 Subtype1 20 Subtype1 30 Type2 50 Subtype1 15 Subtype2 35 Till Column5 I was able to achieve using xpath using structure (using variable), but from Type1 I got stuck. Type1 or Type2 are dynamic, sometimes there will be 2 Types or sometimes 10 Types so it should be dynamic. Could you please provide an video and any suggestions sooner will be helpful as I am working on real scenario, but got stuck. Thanks in advance. I have subscribed to your channel :)
Great video, I’m going to try it out later. Could you please send the link to the Group By with 1 ‘Apply to Each’ please?
@@FlyHighVisuals that video is removed :(
And make sure that the Doc Set fields are created as site columns, NOT as list columns ( unless you can guarantee that you NEVER will have to use those fields for search)
Such a key call out!
@Untethered365 hey, I am a Search geek, and can't even remember the number of times where I had to restructure the information architecture before I could use it for search 😢
This is the first time I'm hearing about Doc Sets. Thank you.
I'd love to use Managed Metadata in a List, but cannot figure out how to manipulate it through Power Automate. Request if there is a better solution than 'Send an HTTP request to SharePoint', which I believe has been deprecated by my company's M-365 contract. If not, request what function resides in the purple 'fx: body(...)' box.
Jesus. The chances of an average user being able to get their head around any of this is roughly zero. What an absolute mess of a system it is.
@@jtaylor8606 my name is Sean, not Jesus. But yes SharePoint or any low code tool, requires software level thinking if you need it to do anything at the enterprise level 💪
Hey, where i can find the multiplexing video?
It's coming :)
Such a good video. very clear.
Looks from the example on the screen that it doesn't work for the current month either? Someone born 10/24/1989 isn't 35 for another fortnight.
Not tested this in a while but earlier this year I came up with: Year(UTCToday())-Year(Birthday)-Int( Month(UTCToday())<Month(Birthday)|| (Month(UTCToday())=Month(Birthday)&&Day(UTCToday())<Day(Birthday)) )
Yep that's why it's hacky and that point is addressed.
Hi, just a few question: If the objects stays in the environment if you delete unmanaged solution (example: solution1 version 1.0.0.10). Then for example, you have a copy of solution1 version 1.0.0.5, THEN, imported it to the same environment and it contains Send Email Flow with 3 actions but the current Send Email Flow in the environment contains 5 actions, does it overwrite the existing flow and make it 3 actions now? Thank you.
Wait this just help me to help another Fortune 500 😂
I hope they give you a cut of that fortune :)
We always first ask what the use case for the library is. If there’s no need for metadata then we give them a document library and tell them to use no more than 3 levels when using folders. In the other case we could advice document sets but they tend to find it hard to work with. Also, even document sets you could hit the limit for the number of characters for the filename. In that case, activate the document id feature on site collection level. That’ll find the document through its id. Even after moving it to another location it will find it.
Good to know about the site collection Id thanks!

I have to ask... looking at all this, it knows my server... HOW does it know the table I'm adding it to? the guid() is a general id... not specific to a particular table... so, were is the table identified? as well, my dataverse submission looks TOTALLY different. It is using pluralized "table names" instead of a long integer/string combination...
The guid tracks that batch and which of your operations are related to that batch. It knows which table based on the URL of the API "/api/data/v9.2/the_name_of_your_table HTTP/1.1"

Way too fast and too many click throughs for a newbie, but good to know there's so much functionality to explore. My org treats SharePoint content as though it were the traditional MS file organization structure: folders > subfolders > files. We're missing a lot of goodies.
