BLACK FRIDAY RSD PURCHASES 11/29/24 th-cam.com/video/unEScKgPpWI/w-d-xo.html
Didn't know about record store days!
Oooooooooo hell yeah Walter!!!
Cool box sets, All The Haunts Be Ours looks very interesting. I saw Mickey and Nickey when I was a kid, I didn't care for it, I watched it again years later and I loved it! One of my favorites! Yet can't go wrong with Sweet Smell of Sucess! That John Cassevetes box set is the best!
Glad to see you are back:)
Are these still possible to get a hold of?
It looks as if Amazon has the Steelbook for around $30 USD.
Waiting for Caligula 1979 on 4k
I am as well. I want the ultimate cut but that price point is rough.
It’s been too long!!! Happy to see you back on here!!
i know what happens in serbian film, but i havent watched it yet, even though i m trying to get my friends to watch it these days... i dont see though how it could even slightly compared to the utter vileness of melancholie... i know, you might say i need to watch to get the experience, but i just dont see it being comperable in the slightest way to it.... i wonder what makes some people feel like that about serbian film edit: i watched serbian film, it was like watching teletubbies compared to melancholie der engel, you sure you have watched the movie?
Will you sell them?
Will I sell them? Which ones? If you are talking the Johnston Doe films. I won’t part with those.
Man, I’ve been watching a lot of samurai film and this one is damn near the top of the list. I will have to recommend you my favorite Sam film so far which is ‘The Twilight Samurai’. All props to this movie but Twilight Samurai is one potent film. Amazing movie though!
Better than the original?
Radley Metzger is somewhat the 'Orsen Wells' of Soft Core. If you appreciate creative filmmaking, along with TRULY witty and funny dialog, then this film 9and the director as a whole) is a real surprise I unearthed. "Am I high yet??"......"I don't THINK so!". LOL!
Frankenstein is one of my favorite. He’s a big guy with a bigger heart, just trying to fit in a true underdog story.
I thought it was going to be the 1971 charles bronson movie
It is not. A weird German drama piece.
I decided to sell a bunch of steelbooks
Why ? You prefer normal cases ?
You are missing about half the movies as of this video.
Awesome mate a new subscriber here. The cult epic blu rays look awesome my friend.
Thank you. They have been some fun films to watch. Thank you for subscribing to my channel.
Went and waited in line but i was only 30 minutes early. Managed to grab one thing i wanted, daft punk- something about us
Thanks for sharing! The top three albums I wanted sold out. I settled for 2 back up albums
What albums did you get?
Dracula, hands down, but Badham's 1979 Universal. While Lugosi inarguably sets the cinematic model, it is Langella who's the ultimate magnetic seducer.
If there is still time to enter my favorite monster is Dracula. My grandpa got my into the monster movies before he passed. We would always watch the Abbott and Costello meet monster movies.
You got in just in time. I will post who wins the code tomorrow!
@@WalterJonesing awesome thank you!
Wow! Definitely going on my Do Not Watch list! That is definitely too extreme for me, but I’m glad you reviewed it and let us know about it!
Yeah it was pretty awful with the subject matter. Glad you don’t have to watch it. Save yourself three hours and forty-five minutes!
First! Sounds like an intense film! Don’t know if I would want to watch it with the SA focus. I get that it is integral to the story as the driving force that develops the character. I just can’t stomach those kinds of scenes. So I will have to enjoy it vicariously via your review! Thank you!!
But does the Nausicaä steelbook's extras finally answer the question if she's actually wearing pants?
The issue number 4 dark x-men cover looked unbelievable. Would love to see some content about that
Cool. Thank you for the input. Will read the issues and then give me thoughts.
XXx
These all look awesome! It's really cool that you own the original Killing Joke. I own the hardcover one I think.
That is super cool. I love The Killing Joke so much.
@@WalterJonesing Yeah, it's a good book. I honestly prefer The Long Halloween though.
@@mrlegobruce_1939 I still have to check that one out.
@@WalterJonesing It's really good
My name is Sara. Nice to meet you I’m new
Walter hi there
Hello. Thank you for checking out my channel.
@@WalterJonesingyes sir
Nice pickups mate 👍🏻💿👌🏻🎥
Thank you!
Those last 17m of the film should've been a whole hour of it, with the story moving somewhere past that. It's a technically good film with so much mood rolling forward from it. But if we're talking Eggers, it's all about The Northman, which is far and away the second best Viking film ever made, and the one with the most historical integrity behind it.
The film was a slow burn for sure, but I get that it had to “ramp up” the way it did. But you are not wrong that once the madness of the lasts twenty minutes kicks in the film would’ve grabbed people by the throat of it had continued with the ongoing story of Black Phillip and the destruction that he caused. I still need to see The Northmen. You seem to have given it a glowing recommendation, yet it is number two in your book, so I ask, what film is number one?
The 13th Warrior. Certainly the best amplification of Beowulf, such great characters, peak Banderas, Sharif's last role, great action, awesome Holmgangr dueling scene, and the adaptation of using Ibn Fadlan's account of the Viking burial. It's so one of those few that're better than the book, but then again Crichton didn't really write books, he wrote thick treatments to market as screenplays.
No love for the cuteness that is Samantha Mathis? 🎉❤ And this had to be shot in 1989 before its later release, so in spirit technically one of the last teen '80s films, yah? Or was it shot early 1990? I think either way it had to have at least been written in the '80s.
Mathis is great. Not sure exactly when it was shot but I will get back to you on that. Either way it was a fun film to watch.
Ridiculously bad film but Fraser is getting work from it at least, and he was good in Killers of the Flower Moon.
What didn’t you like about it? Acting? Directing? I am curious on your thoughts.
Walter, please watch Thief!!!!!!!!!
I will this weekend and do a review video on it this coming week.
Hi folks! Sorry the video is sideways. As I turned my phone I thought the video would post the right way. I was wrong. Hopefully y’all can forgive me. Enjoy the show!
You got a hella of a Criterion collection,Walter. So many good films. How many have you found in the wild?
Thank you. Most are found in the wild. I am blessed with two used shops very near me that usually have Criterions at prices I can’t bet. It has made my collection grow exponentially over the past few years.
Saw this one in the theater. Absolutely LOVED it!
Yeah I really enjoyed this as well.
Since Kubrick's Lolita came out in 1962, is this possibly a later viewpoint from the girl's perspective in a cinematic context? And do the extras mention age of consent in Sweden at that time? Also, how old was the actress?
This is from a young woman’s perspective. The age of consent in Sweden was 18 in the 1970’s. The actress was 18 years of age during the filming.
Sounds like one I’ll skip. But that’s why I love your takes on these films. It lets me know if it is something I want to watch or not.
@Chris I appreciate the comment. I have just found these 1970’s adult orientated films from Cult Epics and I have been having a blast watching them and giving my hot takes on these films. I feel that these pictures must be purchased, preserved, watched, and critiqued upon, or else they may be lost to time.
Another one I’ve never heard of! Thank you!
Love that plastic Sillah you got in the background. But seriously, I really do enjoy Creepshow. And yes, the first movie is the best and the second is watchable. From that point on it just goes downhill. You forgot to mention Adrienne Barbeau, Leslie, Nielsen, and Patty Duke.
@Andrew Creepshow is a classic. A trifecta of talent w/ Romero, King, and Savini. Star-studded cast all around. The 4K looks gorgeous and there is so many special features is insane. Also, the Lionsgate Steelbook is a sight to behold. All in all, I am glad I picked it up.
1935 Werewolf of London, the first Universal Monsters movie I have ever seen , helped me become a hugh fan of the Universal Monsters movies. Thanks for the opportunity too.
That is a pretty sweet film! You are welcome for the opportunity and thank you for commenting on the giveaway. Please subscribe to the channel as well to be entered into the giveaway.

@@sbfilms4843 Thank you!
One of my absolute favorite movies from back in the day!
Chris, do you have a favorite story out of all the shorts?
Great haul sir!!
Thank you! I do love me some Steelbooks! Did you grab all of these as well?
You are crushing the posting output lately! Loving it!!
Thank you. Expect this level of output for the foreseeable future.
Does its unexpectedly comedic approach actually present insight to the real world tragedy these incidents incur, or is it just a send up at the expense of that? And if the latter, how farcical does it get? Like, Lampoon or Troma level?
It is 100% a send up, but not National Lampoon level and definitely not Troma. This is still grounded in reality.
