Happy Birthday. I always watch your videos without subtitles. How long have you been learning English? You have never been disappointed about not hearing and understanding English. I also can’t. But I believe that I have to keep going. There is no shortcut route. It’s OK.

Just keep listening, even if you dont really understand it. Your speaking vocabulary is good, so your brain will subconsciously understand things, even if it feels like it makes no sense. With enough listening it will start to feel normal. and Happy Birthday :)

I can 100% relate to being woke up by rowdy kids early in the morning. I have a 7 year old, and a 4 year old 😅. Just curious, how old are your daughters? Also, when you were talking about the swimming center; here in the states would just say we are going to the indoor pool.

Hello, from the United States! はじめまして。 Im currently learning Japanese; i can understand the difficulty of learning such a drastically different language. I want to encourage you and say that you speak very well. These videos are a great idea for practicing. I might have to try it, if only i wasn't so shy 😅. I do have one constructive suggestion, about the way you pronounce the light "L" sound (examples: CLass, Lunch, Like, etc.) Try practicing pushing your tongue against the back of your top teeth and holding the "L" sound for a moment and then slightly moving the tip of your tongue back from your teeth and let your tongue fall. Or if this is more useful, think of the hiragana characters ら、り、ろ、れ、る. Typically they make the english "D" sound by moving your tongue forward when pronouncing them. But try moving your tongue backward instead to get the english "L" sound. I hope that makes some sense. As a native english speaker i can still understand exactly what your saying, so don't stress too much. You're doing great!

Your english was really good every one will always have an accent with other languages, Even us English speakers mess up our grammar or words every once in awhile so just keep trying your best and everything will work out small improvements add up over time. I'm studying Japanese so I know exactly what it's like to try learning a new language
