Thanks again for the great info. I have a bag of herkimers that i acquired years ago and never learned much about them. I've kinda assumed they we're just low grade diamond's and never would've guessed they were clear quartz. Thx again😊

Sphalerite is a zinc sulfide that comes in a wide array of colors. Where Ilive has quite a bit of ruby jack sphalerite. As far as the amethyst without purple , I believe it's called Prasiolite. It's caused by heating or irradiating amethyst. It's very rare to find it naturally occurring

At 19:43, I'd say that's astrophyllite or fireworks stone. I have a sphere of astrophyllite and they do look very similar. Great collection btw ! Nature creates such beautiful crystals, and its fun to see and learn about them. Also makes a beautiful display ❤️ I was just researching for you, and google said Astrophyllite always has a copper, reddish-brown, or bronze shimmer, while arfvedsonite has a blue shimmer. I think my sphere is actually arfvedsonite because it has a blue shimmer. Have a great 2025 🎉🎊🎉

When I think of art glass I think of Rene Lalique. When I think of shady crap it's all these scammers trying to pass off man made "minerals" as natural. Mahogany obsidian is gorgeous and under the microscope reveals an unexpected internal structure. One of my favorites.

Sheesh I sure hope nobody is heating fluorite! Heating fluorite can cause fluorine gas which is similar to like a mustard gas and is horribly toxic and poisonous, it’ll burn your lungs etc. i’ve heard of fire and ice Quartz is made by heating it and then immediately immersing it in an ice bath which will cause the cracks. My husband completely hit it out of the ballpark with crystal Christmas presents, this year! I got an insanely gorgeous amethyst (My birthstone) sphere, a beautiful smokey quartz teddy bear, a gorgeous faceted smokey quartz egg, a beautiful star rose quartz heart with dendrites, and 3(He’s not sure how that happened, because he only ordered one) rainbow moonstone hearts! I also got other presents, including multi gemstone earrings and ring!🥰🥰🥰

Sorry ... but Ryan is absolutely hopeless at unwrapping ( in the cutest way ) The crystals are supposed to be well wrapped, for protection etc ... YET he is really heavy handed ... yanking away for ages with the bubble wrap 😄 So kind of defeats the purpose of having so much protective packaging on the crystals.
