My friend forced me to watch the second one without watching the first one and without watching the first one makes the movie break your mind I was paranoid af after leaving the theater it was such a mind bender

Lewis got the disease by (probably) watching him shoot/stab one of the characters so that Joel could get rid of it. The opening scene doesn't prove that the disease cannot be transferred by one person at a time.

the way i see it, the monster knew what he was doing and wanted to spread the "parasite" to the most people possible, and because sky was really fucked up he just went and broke her before giving her a false sense of hope

Every moment after Skye wakes up and her mom is in the room, is all the entity bending Skye's perception of reality. Including the death of her mom. Skye only met Morris ONCE. And that was in the bar club. The 2nd time she meets him in the freezer, was the entity.

I know I’m late to this but a couple things for anyone confused. Firstly, Morris was definitely real. The smile entity kept calling her phone to distract her from their conversation at the bar because he knows how to kill it. The second interaction with Morris was not real but the smile demon has NEVER created new people, it can only use the image of people that the victim has met and seen. Anyways, when sky went home; the cat was out of the bag. The entity had to do something about it, but sky still had some mental strength left and could still resist. She wasn’t ready to be taken yet. So essentially smile demon can’t let her continue doing her thing or he might lose, so what’s it do? It puts her in Lala land. Body on autopilot and mind in another reality. It has her kill her mother, who was a source of trauma after pushing sky for so long to make her career great, and gives her the idea she can defeat it before pulling the rug out, making Sky realize she can’t win, and finally break and essentially give up, allowing the entity to finally take her. Also as for Gemma, obviously it’s assumed that because the real Gemma calls her in the car, Gemma who spent the night at her house wasn’t real. I personally like to ask, if that call took place in the fake reality, why do we simply allow this to mean that Gemma and her first interactions weren’t real? What if the entity simply wanted Sky to think the first interactions weren’t real? (Now granted there are some hints of Gemma not being real while she’s at the apartment such as her side of the bed looking undisturbed, and Skys mom never acknowledging her; but hey why not have some fun and let everyone decide for themselves whether Gemma was there or not?) That’s all

i think gemma was real and with sky but the entity was just fucking with her extra in the end when the friend acted like she never talked or seen her in a year

I liked the hybrid tbh. It was a lot better done than in Resurection and it was a nice twist. We know so much about the xenomorphs that the only way to really bring that fear of "wtf is that" is to start blending it with other things. Because while the xenomorphs are scary still, it's not in the same "what the hell is that thing?" kind of way that had the first one SO GOOD.

I went into Romulus with my expectations very low because I love the franchise and there’s been a lot of cringe coming out (not slamming a good cringe sesh, they all have their place). The fact they really brought it back to horror, it was genuinely scary at times and pretty original.

Morris was real, first time he met Skye at the pub. The entity felt threatened so right after that encounter we get to see the dancers moving in unison scare, the height of her paranoia, to which she was momentarily possessed and manipulated up until the freezer-tour concert moment. I appreciate your take but man, you really need to pay more attention to details.

Gemma was hinted to be not real, when she made matcha, she drank from an upside-down cup and Elizabeth did not acknowledge her presence.

Joel has the curse got ran over by the truck Louis saw his dead body so he had the curse passed it on to skye and it also can be passed on multiple people that’s why in the trailer it said “it spreads” 1 person at a time wouldn’t be quoted “spread”

I personally think that Morris was real. I think specifically the first interaction at the bar was authentic. He stated that if they don’t go and try his method immediately that it would be too late. That’s the line that made me believe he was real. The entity was feeding off of her for 3 days at that point and she was pretty much too far gone the moment she decided to leave the bar

I'm not sure if Smile 2 waaaaas "scary" but I can tell you that I was scared watching in at the theater for sure. Definitely won't get the same experience or wouldn't get the same experience if I had just watched it at home, but definitely had me pretty scared beyond the jump scares themselves. I honestly think it was mostly the atmosphere. You're in a dark room with strangers, everything is loud, the screen is large, and that bass rumbles. Also the music in a theater hits harder than anywhere else, you really hear every string and small amounts of brass. I honestly wish I would have watched Smile 1 in theaters but watching it at home is still scary.

Subscribed as soon as you said "there doesn't need to be a one" when talking about the solution or antidote. I'm so bored of movies where some girl convinces a demon that has been slaying for hundreds of years to have a change of heart. It's almost always a female or else I would just say person. But either way, seriously hate that shit. Not every demon needs to be defeated, some evil is just evil and that's what it is. Loved the review.

We dont KNOW which parts were real or not, I mean everyone thinks they do because it gives them like a reason to dislike the movie the guy with the dead brother who was contacting Skye was real had she went with him the first time hell that plan could of worked but we don't know cause she didn't. Every scene involving Emma wasn't we know that tho, the hospital was well but that's at the end. No body knows we can try and like put the piece togheter all we want there's been multiple multiple videos of it, but no one actually KNOWS what was real. Now sure if your saying that confusion in general is bad for the audience I can see that, but most people have like a false concreate answer because it seems better then confusion.

You REALLY didn't do your research for this video huh. They NEVER say only one person can be infected at a time, and explicitly state there are hundreds if not thousands of chains happening in parallel.

First off I'd like to say awesome video, I love the editing and your gestures added onto a comforting feeling of an actual conversation. Now Lewis probably got Lollipop because he was in the room of the drug boss during that scene, and I wish they made his face a lot clearer because I didn't even notice it was him until the second time I watched the movie. The biggest part I wished they focused on was the paparazzi! Artists are usually so thankful for their supporters, just imagine if each of those supporters seemed like they were suddenly out to get you. And with the pressure paparazzi already brings to the table, it would've added so much more to the depth of the action. Knowing something you already try to avoid daily has more power than ever should have massive weight on a person. The idea that most of the action present didn't leave any consequence for her felt unfulfilling. As we saw in the first Smile movie, the cat actually affected her personal life with her sister, and reopened an old wound. The first really made the character look insane to other characters, such as her husband, friends, coworkers, etc. But when everyone else makes you feel insane, you start to become insane. I believe that the second movie missed out on this aspect of psychological horror.

I was shocked how good this movie was. I think naomi the main actress did amazing. Also didn’t have any expectations but it’s one of my top of the year. Doesn’t beat alien Romulus but was prettt damn good

Truth! I think this was a solid review. I find it funny you show a Red Dead Redemption clip seeing how people compare them as sequels. But it was still good regardless.
