Gyutaro and Daki had the saddest backstory in KNY for me. But why? Because at least Sanemi, Muichiro and Akaza had their happiness moments, Gyutaro and Daki didn´t. They fought against the world since their birth, specially Gyutaro, he did his best to give his sister a "better life", plus they always lived in awful conditions because they where extremely poor. And well, we know that they never found happiness, not even in death, at least Daki could choose to go to the light because she was innocent, but she decided to stay with her brother.

Yoriichi actually had a sadder backstory than most, his mom died when he was a kid and he was abused by his dad, so he ran away, and then he met his future wife uta, they got married but then she got killed by a demon, so yoriichi became a demon slayer, and then his brother became a demon, he also failed to kill muzan which was his life goal
