Where was this detector made and does it penetrate rocks?
Mine says "mfd in China for Radio Shack..." I was able to detect about 2 feet above a small clasp on the floor, but that's through air. No idea through rock.
Just picked one up today at a yard sale for a cool 20, glad to finally find a video on how it functions because I have no idea what I'm doing and this is the first video I've found in an hour of searching, thank you sir if I find incalculable wealth I won't forget you!
I found a lot of gold rings with one similar to this in the 1990s. Mine looked similar but had a simple target ID display.
