Why did they cut out matsuda nearly telling Light about Nears mask? Feels like it loses a lot of the buildup and characterisation of Matsuda and Ishida in the finale, adding tension as we see Matsuda's trust at the start is in Light - making his scene in the finale much, much more cathartic.
That song reminds me of Super Mario Galaxy 2

One of the most epic scenes in entire Death Note. So rewatchable. Plus I really appreciate such moments as this one 1:21 which refers to the second opening and this one 1:31, the sound which we can hear most of the time through the finale, telling us this series is coming to an end.

I decoded to enter the world of Anime during this lockdown. I started with Death Note. I watched the first ep yesterday and was so hooked up the I ended the last ep just now. I kinda predicted Lights death from the scene in the opening credits where he is shown standing alone in the Shinigami realm. Anyways, I was still moved by the ending. The series was awesome. Only thing I wished for would be some greater character development and depth from Ryuk's side, even though he was a Shinigami. Any ideas on what I should watch next? I know there are some death note movies too but I'm not sure which one to watch
