I have a relationship like this with a stray, too. I have named him Raymond. He follows me home. Runs to greet me when I set out food for the other strays. But Raymond is a true stray in that he will not let me pick him up. I can pat him and rub his back but that's it

It looks like he's been fixed. Is that a little snip on his ear? 👍 kind of young, but at least he won't make more kitties.

Some cats that are domestisized tend to overeat due to the forever hunt for food when in the "wild", some cats will learn that that food is provided some will eat like its last time getting food. Also fave a preference for wet food over dry food one can allways soak the dry. Since in the cats nature not being a big drinker of water(especially water in a bowl), open a fawcet a cats comes running for a drink. getting a fountain will make them drink better. Many cats get problems with kidneys due to their nature. One of mine got bladder issues on a regular basis(1-2 times a year) and vet costs were accumulating, After changing to more of a wet diet last visit was 3 years ago. forgot to say there are some human food stuffs that are harmful for cats onion garlic and some others. great grey stripe over his back.

After one and a half years, this feral cat has lived in my house, always hissing and hiding, I can pet her now. She has a u.r.i. and now I can treat her.

one of our cats has been living on our property since 2018. at the end of last summer i finally managed to pet him for the first time and now i do it every time i am there.
