YES! I took solo trips to S Mexico, layovers exploring Downtown Mexico City... just stay in safe parts of town wherever you go. River North Chicago just be careful at night in club scene alone to not get roofied (long time serial killer of young men on loose according to locals as of last year...govt doesnt say anything because of tourism)
