OMG. JANN. My family and friends coined the term JST for me several years ago!! My name is Jaclyn. So I will often say something like, ‘I’ll be there 1pm JST ‘ ..And they know that could be 1130 or 2 lol. WELCOME TO TEAM JST 😂😂😂😂. Also I own a company, I make and design all kinds of stuff -wooden stuff, canvas, clothing…. I’m working on a JST design for a tshirt. I WILL SEND YOU ONE. I’m so excited … excited over JST. My life is weird 😂😂😂. I am also currently creating bird and squirrel houses and feeders made from all recycled materials. I’m trying to do everything as environmentally safe and conscious as possible. So important to me. I also have a special focus on rescue animals and wildlife and try to raise awareness and donate profits to the orgs that people may not know about. I know you love your backyard friends…I will send you a couple of birdhouses as well! I get so much joy from watching my birds and squirrels. I have regulars each day, even a crew of crows to keep the hawks away, lately a beautiful wild turkey as been visiting, eating the left over seed and nuts and berries… (they are harmless to other birds and critters 😊, they like insects, seeds, or deceased wildlife but will not do the preying). Sorry for the long post. I just feel so rejuvenated after listening to the JST bit lol. Again…I’ll stop questioning why I find joy and fuel over ‘silly’ things lol. You rock Jann!

Jann I’m the same way… sentimental with items, especially of that of people dear to me that have passed. But I also clean everyday, there always something for me to clean or organize lol. I feel like a minimalist trapped in a soul that was raised by maximalists that was apart of the 80s-90s collect all the things era lol. Also Jann your house looks beautiful! I love the cozy cabin feel. Is there any chance we could see a virtual tour one day? I would understand if you don’t want to do that. Maybe could be a patreon perk. Love you gals.

I spent a winter in Winnipeg. Stayed with my Uncle who worked for LaFarge. I grew up near Saakatoon when I was younger. Winnipeg was WORSE! 🥶 I'm in Calgary now.

We often look to leaders to solve our problems.. but individuals can also do a lot. I am not supporting these billionaires.. no more amazon and Netflix etc. Produce from the US is now banned from my home. Will it make a difference. No. But it sure makes .e feel better. And the more we all do a few small things to support canada ..it will add up

I started listening to the Jann Arden podcasts a year or two ago. I was drawn to the exchange that Jann had with her interesting guests. I enjoyed hearing opinions and stories from both Jann and her guests. I liked [and still like] Sarah's supportive role. And speaking of like, I didn't hear the word 'like' constantly. Missing those days.

I turned 64 the day after Christmas. And yes, at about age 60, my attitude about what others think totally changed. I don't give a shit anymore about whether or not someone likes me, doesn't like me, agrees with me on things, afraid to express my opinion, unafraid to offend someone, on and on. It's a great relief. :)

I watched most of the New Years show Jann Arden did with Adrienne Arsenault. What an absolute joy. I couldn't agree more with Jann Arden, it was charming, endearing, entertaining and very well handled by all folks involved.

I have to agree with hitting menopause, 7 years now, was 50 and the hormonal shift to caring less. It was a weird feeling, like what Jann referenced with Jodi Foster. For someone like myself who all my life so far has worried and wanted to make sure everyone around me was ok all the time. When the shift per say happened it was unnerving but also like a weight had been lifted. Great podcast as usual ladies!

Love your chats. And you are right about the hormone shift in us. I left my husband at 44.. premenapausal.. because I didn't want to live like that any more. My kids were early 20s. My daughter left her baby daddy at about the same age for the same reason.. but her kids were teens. ..very difficult time for all.. but she had the strength of character to leave.. for her own self health. .... this is very common. Women have to take care of themselves. I have no regrets.. she doesn't either.

Mullein!!!! In a vaporizer and/or tea. Works for respiratory issues. We also use it with horses who have heaves mixed in with grain. As far as getting older, I'm finding 6 yrs into menopause the opposite..looking to cut back to part time work this spring , downsizing ,doing a lot more volunteering. Caring more , embracing inner /outer acceptance of myself as well as others , feeling mentally younger , lots more outdoor activities etc... aging after menopause is liberating! Jann dont listen to the trolls...you're aging amazingly ! Sarah /Caitlin enjoy the journey! As always I always look forward to Friday night podcasts to kick off the weekend. 🤗 🤗 🤗
