Just this week I read that Yuko Sano retired from volleyball. It made me really sad because I became a huge fan of Hinotori no Nippon because of the incredible defense - mainly beacause of the tiny Libero Sano. Thank you so much, Yuko Sano for all these years.

Airi Miyabe was the new sensation who was brought into the second set in the match against Italy. Only 18 years old her first attack was a little bit hasty. As soon as she got more self-confidence her true power shone through her actions. Enjoy sweet Airis actions! ;) There is a mistake in Numbers. Her blocking height is 290 cm, sorry for that.

Miyashita is underrated when the teammates is retired

They wasted such a great player :(( the setter should have atleast made the effort to help her. When youre a player like SAORI KIMURA the setter should let you play like a SAORI KIMURA her skillset and playstyle revolves in that type of set its like they expected her to play tennis with a badminton racket. It was so hard to watch, I know she's retired but gad i miss her. I guess she could have done better if she was with a japanese setter or someone like Nootsara.

why people are blaming the setter lmao
Well there is a reason why you dont see many japanese hitter imports in international leagues, because they are trained to a certain type of playstyle, if you cant let them do that playstyle you wont be able to get the numbers they could potentially give. Its the setters duty to do that, bring out a spikers full scoring potential by giving them sets that are easy to for them to hit. When youre at this level of volleyball its not always the spiker that adjusts to a certain set if youre playing in a top caliber team as a setter you should study your spikerz and also be able to give the sets with the highest chance for them to score. When your spikers are that good and with an established playstyle you cant just let them adjust to your sets. Its like having someone play tennis with a badminton racket.
@@OneTwo-nw4nz i personally thinks that it should go both ways for the setter and spiker.
@@eemiaey1410 hmm i think it was more of a coaching decision. They should have done something about it from the start. These are top caliber players like painters with different styles. If they wouldnt let her play the way she wants they sould have never gotten her. Hmm and i dont think it goes both ways. the setter can always adjust the set there can even be a time than all your spikers prefer different sets. But a spiker can only adjust so much, if she do it too much it will destroy her style and maybe even injure her. Thos high balls are for power hitters which soari never was. Shes a very flexible hitter that can hit those tight angles and banks on speed more than power.
