    Great video. Studied this video several times and based on the what was needed to be done for installation, purchased the craftsman bagger for my CC30H mower. One problem I ran into while installing the mounting plate was the 4 original frame bolts were 5/16 self tapping type bolts. The holes left by these bolts were too tight to allow the standard 5/16 bolts supplied with the bagger to pass through the frame and support bracket and match up with the mounting plate. I jacked up the rear of the mower, removed the rear wheels (pretty easily done) and drilled out the frame and support bracket with a 5/16 drill bit. Assembly went pretty quickly after that. You'll be there all day trying to thread the supplied bolts through the holes and probably bugger the threads in the process. Rest of the install was a breeze. Use a floor jack with the saddle removed to support the front counter weight while installing. Makes it much easier. Also, use a rachet with either a 2" extension or deep socket on the mounting nut of the counter weight .

    How did you get the front counterweight up in place? Holding it there while trying to shove the 2 bolts through seems like a 2 person chore. I've not had much luck at this point, I'm doing this by myself.

      @@diyhobbyist8440 2024....I just improvised. After experimenting, I found a drill box and a half inch thick by 3 inch wide piece wood under it worked [Wood piece is usually used as a tomato stake lol]. It set up the weight to be 1/2 inch below the bolt holes on the mower, so I was able to lift each side, slip the long bolts through [with the big washers under the head of course], and then screw on the locking bolts on the other side [front]. Using the 13mm ratchet wrench and a crescent wrench then I tight up everything several times each side until it felt secure. Bumps on the lawn and vibrations from the engine etc, might loosen those up, so check them once in a while and if needed tighten them up again. Of course, I am not a lawn mowing jock like some of these guys with their big tanks [possibly those size lawn mowers have a missile thrower on them!], I just used creativity and common sense acquired over 68 years...

      A number of years ago I had a JD rear engine riding mower like this. Sold it after 3 seasons, and now that I’ve put my fences in and have trees, I wish I had it back every time I mow with my 46 inch mower. Understand what it is, it’s limitations and they’re a great mower. Not designed to mow 2+ acres every week in an hour. Not going do it. Nimble rider for less than an acre with trees? Perfect.

      Just installed mine about 2 hours ago. No problems. Did you tighten the rear wing nut first (located nearest the kill switch)? Say, have tried to change the oil on this? Almost returned it ;)

    • @AbdurR23
      @AbdurR23 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      J W so I actually had an error with the chute forming a complete seal near the wingnuts. I just curved the plastic up so it could go over and the wingnuts could completely make a seal. I almost returned mine as well. 😊

    Thank your for taking the time to share your experience and videos. They have helped me make the decision to buy the Cub Cadet 30 CC H with the rear bagger attachment this past spring. Great little mower (I was a bit surprised by how small the collection bags are, though)! I also purchased the TeraKing Leaf Bag on Amazon a few weeks ago for leaf cleanup for our 1/4 to 1/3 acre property (MASSIVE leaves!) and the Cub Cadet CC 30 H mower and the TeraKing Leaf Bag have changed my life - literally! I'll mow the rear lawn one evening during the week and the front the next evening. Due to being on standard time since last weekend, I do the leaves either late Saturday morning or early afternoon. I now have so much more quality time instead of doing laborious mowing and leaf cleanup and then having to recover from exhaustion. Thanks for helping me out with your videos!

      For mine it completed the mower. It was worth it. The counter weight stays on and even the bagger stays on. I just swap out the chute for the side discharge when needed. Only negative is fall leaves. It clogs easy. That's when I swap. I munch up first, then collect later. All season actually. 3years now.

    I have the same exact lawnmower as you, and bought the same bagger and the chute would not fit on the deck of the lawnmower. It was about an inch too short. When I got one bolt in, the other side wouldn't line up because it wasn't long enough. I don't get it. :(

    Hi,what are chances of fitting the garbage bags inside the baggers and at least filling them part /most way as you mow? Maybe a few less times you have to dump them into the bags. (?) I mean you pretty much have an idea of how many bags you will use,so if you can ,line the baggers with them and fill partially as you go , then if more clippings to be added to fill up you have bags pre filled mostly and easy to add more of clippings in ? Is that possible ? Anyway hope info helped. Enjoyed the video on bagger install as well. Looks like a nice little rider for close quarters areas to be mowed , I have a John Deere Signature Series Tractor X739 54 inch HC Deck With triple bagger =14 bushel capacity, included also a 54 inch hydraulic snowblower and plow blade as well as a 17 cu ft tow hauling cart and a 54 inch front mount Thatcher .So many top end attachments for it , but pretty pricey for each as well. Thought of getting the Cub 30H 382cc for tight area mowing , Thanks again ,best of luck with the mower .
