About the low quality resolution problem: Shadow Play records clips with the game resolution you started first. In this update, half-life will launch in a small 640x480 windowed resolution then will launch to the menu with the resolution you normally play. when i edit the .lua file it asks me where to save it and when i select the place its supposed to be it says i dont have permission to save it there. is there a fix for this?
When editing the .lua file make sure you run notepad as Admin.

It doesnt work for me, i did all the steps right but when i adjust the settings it stays as the default fov
(sorry for the late response) Make sure that you're using the updated WSGF plugin and not the FWS plugin. And also check if you have ticked 'Fix Enabled' and 'Acknowledge and Ignore' with the settings you want in Individual Fixes.

I am now convinced as I ever was that 60fps and "clean visuals" completely and utterly ruins the cinematic value of a movie. 60fps + is great for games, however the original feels like I'm watching an older movie, whereas the remastered feels too clean and feels more like an in-engine cutscene than anything else.
Whole-heartedly agree. There's certainly a quality I can appreciate about it, but its certainly not my thing. I'm still baffled because as far as I can tell theres no way to go back to the old versions without playing the barely functional original steam release. Feels extremely weird for a remaster so otherwise eager to preserve the game's history. Utterly bizzare.

AHHHHH..... the true half life DM experience , my brain just went back when the time a giant cybercafe will have a local lan party for HL , CS and unreal 1999 😆😆, after some fun session , then its back to diablo 2 , the cybercafe have a catering service as well! ordering fries! fried noodles and pizza after finish gaming and geeking around with other player. aaaaaaaaaaa i wanna go back~~~~~~

i was also playing in 800x600 for like 20min.. u can set your shadowplay to default to a higher resolution mind you.. (not that you will find yourself in this situation often)

if you tell shadowplay you're recording at 4k it lets you select way higher bitrate options, ofc it only records your game window, so it doesn't matter that you told it that it's 4k if the game isn't running at 4k

@@biigsmokee true but shadowplay comes with geforce experience by default and you can save up to x mins of footage constantly without needing to start recording, I don't need more than 130mbps quality anyway (you can replicate this with an obs plugin if you DO want more than 130mbps)
