Just some in-car of my BMW e46 325ci at Wakefield Park. Not 100% sure if the lap shown was my fastest time of the day but I managed a 1:13.8. Mods include: - BC Racing Coilovers - Mfactory LSD - Powerflex Poly Bushings - Catback Exhaust - Apex Arc-8 Wheels - Hankook RS-4's 245/40/17 - Mishimoto Intake - Front & rear strut braces

This was my only full lap that I got on film that didn't have traffic or yellow lights. My best time of the weekend was a 1:17.13

Nice information but why would you want to put a gasket back on there knowing that its going to crack again. BMW plastics and the whole BMWs are crappy designed vehicles. Designed to be at the shops, driven in disrepair or at the wrecking yards. Keep it clean without that stupid useless gasket.

For my 98 M3 the gasket came with the new trim piece. Pelican parts. They have aftermarket versions for $7 51218122441 - Genuine BMW
maybe don't use a flat head screwdriver to remove that rubber cap to save your paint

Yeah it's served me pretty well. The pod filter that comes with it tends to cause a whistle noise under small amounts of throttle (don't worry I've checked to make sure it wasn't a bad hose connection). I'd say go for it if you can find one at a decent price but any of similar designed ones are going to be more or less the same.
I picked up that same whistle after replacing my intake boot old one had a massive hole in it but wasn't sure if the whistle was normal
i think the lil whistle is only cuz it’s in park and not actually driving

@@TheCreeperAce just bought one for my 325 to complement the new more free flowing exhaust I've had fitted. Did you get your car mapped after it was fitted??
To reinstall the handle the easiest way to pull the latch back is with a "paint can opener". You can pick these up at any Lowe's or Home Depot stores. Google "images for paint can opener" to get a better idea what it is if you don't already know. Like mentioned before you only need to remove the center part of the cap not the whole thing. This will help prevent from scratching and marring the opening...
My 1996 328i has a different hole plug. Made of 2-piece hard plastic, and very difficult to remove without making scratches. Any thoughts on removing?

No! Don’t pry the over off on the door side. It is a two part cover plug, if you gently pry the inner piece of the plug up, the rest of the cover will unlock and you can pull it out without marring the metal around the hole.
