My parents were boomers - they paid off their mortgage (which cost them proportionally as much as it does now) by not spending friviously, not using credit and rarely taking a holiday. Most of their friends did the same. None of them are/were millionaires. This woman is talking utter tripe. The main difference - they (and Gen X) would take any job to pay the bills. They didn't live a champagne lifestyle on credit and low income, they put their money into the house to build security and a legacy, instead of buying shiny new shit and cars on HP, whilst doing a useless degree to try to get work in TV. 8yrs ago My mom passed away, then 6 months after my husband died, after that my job changed, i had to move for the job, then 6 months later my sisier died. I was 44yrs old. It has taken all this time to feel relief from grief. I stil am not able to date or try to make a connection to anyone else. It has been hard.
