I also have a seat like yours, but I’ve have always thought it’s normal that works in that way without a wire.. or am I wrong?

My 97 TJ has a broken cable that is supposed to be activated when the seat is fully forward. That lever under the seat is the thing that moves the cable and the seat should hinge forward for more rear seat access. I am trying to find that cable , but no luck yet sourcing a new one. My grand kids would like it fixed.

Intertesting machine Jim. I changed the shaft assembly out. After adding the cam lift. Making good snaps now. Thanks for the help.

Yep 2 calls today .. at the good ole snap tape machine. I'll have to look up the part numbers and names. This one was completely different.. the pin that holds the sleeve in place, sheared about an 1/8 off the end, the operator. Found it after the operator freed it up. I'll be ordering some parts soon, I went thru what had. Got it going again.

Been a mechanic on one these for 15 years. I told the center crack the locking nut loose make the adjustment tight or loose.. while still holding the center then righted the nut..
