This scene has always gotten me in the feels. When I was a kid my mom struggled with addiction and I wasn’t allowed to see her for years until she got clean. I was about the same age Sarah is when I got to see my mom again, and she was amazing. Like she was making up for past mistakes and lost time. Moms (or dads) aren’t perfect and they make mistakes. But what matters is they find their way back and try to make up for them and seek forgiveness. I forgave my mom a long time ago and we still have a great relationship.
