There are plenty of situations where a 3k can actually run faster than a 5k. But on the flip side of that the 3k can never physically go as fast of a top speed as the 5k. The bigger windings require more power to run and can dissipate more amps. So there are several situations where you are better off with the 3k. If your controller is undersized then for sure the 3k would do better. If the controller is sized right and it's still not doing the business then you probably need to upsize your power wires or crank up the amps in the Fardriver. When you go to the 5k you really need to be at 72v or higher. 48 or 52 are not going to get it done. The higher the h size the more power you need to get the performance you want. The h rating is written right on the motor WP40H and 50 for sure are the most common but I think they do 60 and 70 in a 205 also. They go up to 90h in a 268.Those are some very wide magnets. That's the real wide smaller diameter wheel. I was thinking about getting one but at the moment I'm still enjoying the 8k 273. Definitely not bored yet. Still holding on for my life. Oh yeahhhh.

If you put hydraulic on the front the fork will collapse when applying the brakes. You need to upgrade the forks if you're going to upgrade the brakes.

Yep the same motor I got on a 20 inch fat tire bike and I can only get it up to 58 running 200 amps and 400 phase! Lol makes for a good trail riding motor! Need to get me the qs273 for the streets!
