Do you know if it's in the park only? Or can we get it in city walk?
I was actually able to get one this weekend and they did have it in the Universal Store on CityWalk
Best preshow is obviously Fast and Furious: Supercharged bar none. Family
It is a strangely entertaining pre show LOL
Love you guys!
Thank you!!
Any update on the date when the christmas parade starts and also the cinematic spectactular?
Looks like the first parade is Friday, November 22. I haven't seen anything on the Cinematic show but I'll check and let you know
Not facial recognition…Photo validation. 😊
True lol
I have heard that the new toothless bucket is interactive in the land …like the shoulder puppets rumor “banchee” style Dragons pets
That would be awesome
Is there any way to find an uglier hotel !?
I’m sure you could go down I4 and find many uglier ones lol
Single night can be as low as $393
Ya I saw that, this segment was from our show before we saw the single day pricing. Very reasonable for that level of hotel in my opinion
it costs more then a 3 day 3 park price. alot to stay in a enclosed place with a bed for a night
For an in park hotel it's very reasonably priced considering the hotel category and it's still cheaper than a Disney moderate hotel nowhere near the parks. They also have the values around Epic as well that are in the $100-$200 range as well. I feel it's fair
Is he wrong though?
No, no he's not lol
I think USO really dropped the ball on one very specific thing that would have won over a LOT of Disney refugees. Fastpass+ was discontinued AFTER USO announced Epic Universe. I personally think USO should have grabbed that dropped ball and ran with it. Fastpass+ was nearly perfect. I could sit at home, at my leisure, and book ride times months ahead of time. That would be so flipping awesome for all three USO parks now. Yeah it may have eaten into revenue from Express Pass. But I think the money they could have made from the Disney refugees gate sales that came specifically for that, would have more than made up for it.
Personally I think Universal's Express Pass system is the best paid cut the line system out there.
My advice to Universal is. Beat disney by NOT being disney. NO to disney fast pass (express pass is perfect as is), no to timeshares, no to dining plans, and airport shuttle not needed. Moreover, let disney keep the stroller crowd or give them separate parks like the one in texas. More enjoyable for all that way. Kids grow up FAST. We have elementary age kids btw and they love Universal. Also dont hire too many ex disney employees (imagineers excepted). They come off as insincere automatons. Even some of your long time cms (who are great, welcoming and authentic) notice. And keep focusing on guest experience - thats what won us over.
Hotel looks bland af. Lame!
It's a value level hotel so it's about in line with what I would expect from that category. Very similar to Dockside and Surfside
No biggie. Who's staying there before epic Universe? Lol
We are… but most people are not lol
The government needs to step in. Like "Rent Control" we need "Price Control". Limitation to how much Disneyland could raise their prices.
That's the last thing the government needs to do. Disney isn't a "right" or a "need". Price increases suck but Disney is a for profit business and as long as people keep coming prices will keep increasing
Government stepping in to control prices never works out well historically
They soft opened today.
Ya, saw that... of course it opens the day after the episode came out LOL
An excerpt from an email I got " Plus, look for information regarding Passholder soft opening opportunities at Epic Universe in the coming months.". I heard somebody (was it Alicia?) mention that they used specific wording there. I think they mentioned that because they used "soft opening" opposed to "preview", UOAP will be charged a fee for it. If it had stated "preview" it may have been free. For our plan, this is fine. We do not plan on buying single day tickets yet. We're hoping to get at least one day in Epic, maybe two or three if available. So when May 22 roles around, we'll have already had our Epic fix addressed. Then we'll wait until fall to start going to the parks again like we do every year. Hopefully by then, we will have had an opportunity to "add-on" Epic to our UOAP.
That wouldn't surprise me. We talked about in that episode how Jamie went to Islands of Adventure when they had their soft opening and they paid to get in but it was a very discounted price. If they charged for it they would cut down on the sheer amount of Passholders that would want to go there also.
I am a fairly newer subscriber but I just wanted to thank you guys for making this podcast! I love your opinions and how informative this podcast is! I really hope this channel continues to grow! I would to see you guys collab with my other favorite theme park podcast, For Your Amusement, which do similar things to you guys but evaluating attractions and going through their history! Love you guys
Thank you so much for the kind words and for watching. I've never heard of For Your Amusement but I'll check them out!
I just looked it up. $400??? Is that per person??
Depends on the park, at Magic Kingdom it's $350 - $450 per person
I booked 3 days at Helios for September. I had it booked and tickets purchased in 25 minutes. Can't wait for Passholder previews.
That's awesome! Looking forward to passholder previews as well
Grand Flo prices
Ya lol
Bring a park like epic universe to MN! Apparently we are getting a huge water park with 30 slides and a wave pool! Thinking if this happens it will be indoors and an annual pass may be necessary
Plus I’m a theme park fanatic! I need epic tickets but I don’t have money for it now 😭
It’s like $2,500 without flights
Ps Super Nintendo world in Hollywood disappointed me
Ya I've heard some people say they were disapointed by Super NIntendo World out there. I know the one in Orlando is going to be the biggest one in the world and with Donkey Kong Country I'm hoping it'll be a lot better
@@ctmpodcast I hope so too. The Mario kart ride was ok but it wasn’t the best but I think the donkey Kong roller coaster looks cool.
Lightning Lane premiere would be great if it was not IN ADDITION to the current system. Disney has to pick a lane (no pun intended) lol
Completely agree... I like the pun even if it wasn't intended lol
The picture of the Helios for price does say for a 4 night stay underneath it
Ah ok. At the time I had looked at it I didn't notice it if it did. Thanks
Disney is sickening. I hope they go out of business soon. Shouldn't be too long with prices like these, no one will be attending this restaurant. Disney has lost touch with their target audience... the middle class family.
I think it's very evident that Disney has abandoned the middle class which is the people that helped Disney World become what it is today in terms of it's market share
Again, Disney is sick and disgusting thinking that some idiots are stupid enough to pay those inflated prices.
I agree they need to stick to one or the other. If it was priced a little better like Universal''s is and just go with this system and get rid of the single and multi pass I think it would be good but to keep all 3 is just too much.
Ya. I'm very curious how this is going to go and wouldn't be surprised if they ditched it after a few months
dang..... uploaded this a day too early for the news of the Premier Lightning Lane news this morning
True lol. The show tomorrow will discuss that in detail though
Got some information/updates from Universal construction workers on Reddit. Each land was assigned to separate general construction companies, so if a land falls behind, resources cannot be reallocated to different sections. Also ride construction and building construction are separate contracting companies. It looks like the coaster construction was on schedule (except for DK), but I can’t speak for the DU kooka ride, Mario kart, or the ministry ride since those are probably all separate ride builders and indoor rides with a bunch of technical elements.
Interesting. I suppose that makes sense given the sheer amount of workers on site it would be multiple different companies. Thanks for the info!
The marvel rumor I can say has been debunked by theme park Parker rixflix, and unofficially universal themselves. good thing. 41:25 why not take another look
I think common sense and understanding how business works knew this wasn't actually true lol
That ride blows, rode it 2 times last year the second time to give it another chance. It’s over so fast you think you missed something!!! Gate 1 2 3 done in a few seconds. Night is way way better but Space mountain is still better in every way.
Ya it is waaay too short
I just bumped into the channel, I like the video. Great job. One thing I’ll say, is that Disney is trying to capture more market share, and that means they need to get younger millennials and gen Z’s money. So that’s why it seems their doing more skip the line options, they’d also benefit from a really good thrill ride. I’m not sure what park they’d put it in.
Thanks for the kind words!
My husband and I just looked at booking Stella Nova resort and he asked me if it’s going to be delayed. He googled it and that was the rumor. Then I go to TH-cam and this video pops up…
The computers are always listening lol
I've read that we can expect another video from Universal in October that will include the opening date.
That's a likely timeline and if that's the case I'm going to guess a May 2025 opening timeline
Universal Epic universe resort and Orlando
celestial park
Harry Potter
How to train your Dragon toothless
Harry Potter shows his creation and there’s something else they call France and France has Harry Potter and the magical beast is France
And there’s one more there’s dark universe with the magical scary monsters
It’s universal Orlando and resort by building it epic universe Disney the blame on it’s not Orlando and resort
The tunnels is the thing🕳️💡🐉🧙🏻♀️🧙🏻♂️🧛🏻♂️🧛🏻♀️🧜🏼♀️🧚🏻🧚🏻♂️🧚🏼♀️👾🎮🎢🎠not have 🎡
The theme park is inside the tunnel ride the roller coaster🎢 the new one🎢 all of it🎢🎡 for🎠 around and carousel OK
The monsters inc roller coaster looks sick. I cant wait until its opened. Also scene monsters inc is going to be an entire land Im, surprised that only 1 ride was announced. That can't be right , there has to be a 2nd attraction. At least I would think.
I do think the ride will be a draw but it's more of a mini land with 1 ride and 1 quick service restaurant from what they said
@ctmpodcast As much as I would love for construction to begin in early 2025 for monstropolis, I personally think it could be pushed back until late 2025.
He’ll NOOOOOOO
Agreed
Multipass worked perfectly. Used it in conjunction with standby skipper. Got sold out rides.
Good to hear!
You can thank so many of the Disney Vloggers and influencers. They just go to Disney and complain about everything and they are getting paid.
Yay exciting
Shows nice. Belagio on steroids.
I dunno how people don’t understand just how much space the Star Wars launch bay and area behind it takes up. Launch bay isn’t using the whole old animation building (which was massive) so the whole building plus the backstage space back there could easily be used for the ride plus the land. They don’t even need to tear down little mermaid and Disney jr (which they’d never let that show go so if they for some reason did need the space they’d just relocate the show). There’s absolutely no reason for them to decrease capacity at the park by getting rid of a ride or show for this new land since hollywood studios has an insane amount of free space. People are assuming it’s muppets based on one rumor by mickeyviews and taking it as fact and while it might’ve been a consideration by Disney to put it there, they know they need capacity at the parks especially when up against epic universe
Who knows where they put it but just basing my opinion (Jared here) off the fact that animation courtyard area has a lot of castmember based stuff back there and would probably cost them more to build there vs muppets area. There is concept art seemingly for both areas so who knows
100% Agree, btw dropped a sub 🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪
I'd be shocked if it was less than $800/night
Agreed
If true I would guess maybe Harry Potter as their main ride is newer technology? Maybe they are having issue with it. I know Donkey Kong is new but they have one in I think Japan and is going to open soon.
It’s hard to know. Japan is having delays with their Donkey Kong coaster so it could be that ride/land
Looking at all the construction progess I genuinely find that hard to believe. Construction permits say general construction can be done around December to January.
Agreed. If I were to guess it may be an internal issue but I can’t say I’m a theme park construction expert… more of an enthusiast lol
Maybe they are just waiting for all the road construction to finish because of the traffic around the new park
Kirkman road looks so delayed construction
Possibly. The roads are definitely something people aren't thinking about
We love and have been doing universal for years. Kids have grown up a little, so we are ready to try it for the first time at the beginning of October. We are excited. Got a cabana to go all out.
Nice! The Cabana's are really nice!
Love the videos! Would love to collab one day!
Thanks! Always open to ideas for content
