    As an INFJ female, I had to become self employed to get out of the Rat Race. Corporate killed me, after the military fave me a good psychological kicking. I think for INFJ males they should I choose a career path that allows them this autonomy, the ability to build their own business.

      You're right! That's such an important need of INFJs: autonomy. Great that you've managed to escape the Rat race. Any tips?

      @INFJMalePsychology Find something that you love build it on the side until you can leave corporate, if your in the Rat Race. Otherwise pick a trade or profession that will allow you to work from home. Architect, Accountant, Doctor is questionable, Web Design. There is so much you can do. In my experience, unless you can be your own boss, alphas will demand obedience and domination asking that the INFJ yields. I never could yield, so I had to build my income in property. I'd be doing web design now if I hadn't fallen ill.

      @INFJMalePsychology looks like you found your niche. Apparently the best match for INFJ's is INTP's. The differences complement each other, or so I am told. Having lived with myself all my life, I understand that many people find us INFJ's intolerable. Probably because we won't comply, we don't compete and we enjoy our own company. I've often been criticised for being the lone wolf, 🐺; I used to be offended but now I quite like it! 😉

    So what's the difference between INFJ men and INFJ women? How do I find an INFJ man? As an INFJ, I seem to attract avoidant men. My last partner became codependent and a drain. I don't want to repeat that relationship dynamic.

    I was able to unlock my masculinity because I got bullied too much, it felt like nobody liked me despite my good qualities so I absorbed all the negativity and exploded. My personality went a 180 during my teen years but then after school the overt bullying was out of my life and I found myself slipping back into being soft again. After a big falling out with my family over them taking advantage of me, it has become more permanent now. I won't let anyone take advantage of me again, I don't feel like I need to be friends with everyone or take care of people when they are down when they are just strangers. I think somewhere in my psychology I know that even my family do not appreciate me putting the effort in, so there's no point being nice any more. Women love a man in touch with their feminine side though, of course not 100% feminine but a good 50/50. Being romantic for example is a feminine trait. I feel as though many women don't know what they are missing with a very masculine guy. Or sometimes you hear them complain but they just live with it. I really think that it's the difference between being just another guy (guys are all the same) and being someone special that she will remember forever.

    • @INFJMalePsychology
      @INFJMalePsychology หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm sad to hear you got bullied too as a teenager. Suppressed rage is something a lot of INFJ males unknowingly struggle with, but once we integrate it in a healthy way it's golden. Like you said, I think the holy grail is to integrate both feminine and masculine in oneself and somehow that transforms into something qualitatively new. A lot of women don't know where to put us and after a while they see they power of that romantic passion and love for women INFJ males have and this may make INFJ males rembered forever as you said. Let's do our best man and explore to which heights we can soar! Thanks for sharing brother!

    It is so exhilarating and that society is making huge changes where balance of feminine and masculine energies are becoming increasingly necessary and appropriated for a healthy society. Destorted and toxic masculinity is going by way of the dinosaurs. ( Give it time, it's no longer attractive or beneficial to humanity..) Time for the healthy INFJ masculine to rise and step into their power...Many healthy women are looking for these men especially the INFJ femaies...Excellent video

    Not what I (maybe) needed or wanted to hear!! For better or for worse, I identified with your interpretation. All the women I've sexually connected with have been narcissistic and/or bullies. My father was psychopathic and hated me until his death. Even his brothers and my Grandfathers didn't like or approve of me. Now I have an understanding of why. Dad and all the male relatives were hyper masculine and not the example of masculinity I ever wanted to be like. As you've mentioned about finding another or more appropriate definition of my masculine self, that's exactly what I have done. I certainly have become my own man - a man that I accept and like .. I love myself, but that took a decade or two to happen. It was quite the moment when I came to that understanding of acceptance and love for my masculine self. I'm an introvert and love solitude/my own company. Women continuously chase me, but I have no interest in being in any relationships especially with women after two marriages (3 kids). I also have other males seeking my friendship, but their motives can be similar to that of women, in that they can intrude into my life in ways I'm not interested. I've found that the only "relationships" I like, cope with and seek, are with people (male and female) in work situations or comrades like I've had in the Army. Interestingly, your take on infj was totally different to any other I've encountered. I need to re-view your video and contemplate your overall views. I must admit, this has jolted me.

      Wow, thank for being so honest. I'm curious what triggered you the most about this video. Man.. A psychopathic father?.. I'm so sorry to hear that brother.. That must have been hell trying to grow up and have a "normal childhood" with so many malicious entities in your family and romantic relationships. You're tough, you made it to adulthood, that makes me glad. How did you go about developing your own version of masculinity let's say? How are the women you're romantically interested in today?

    INFP here. I met an INFJ woman a couple years back in the church. She was so quiet/withdrawn that I didn't talk to her for maybe 2 years. Then, she and her husband came over to my parents' house for a Bible study, and I talked with them. The husband, ENFJ, was fun to talk to. Then, their family started playing volleyball with my husband and I. Then, I started meeting the INFJ woman in the park so my daughter could play with her kids. Then, we started talking, and the conversation went semi-deep, and she was really interested. Then, we kept meeting at the park with our Bibles. Then, our families celebrated birthdays together...And I realized that I really liked being around this INFJ woman. It crept up on me softly. But, she wouldn't reply to my texts in a timely manner. Plus, she was super busy always. But, our families started playing tennis, and she made effort to spend time with me and talk to me while at the tennis courts. We saw each other at potlucks and church members' houses. I told her I liked her a lot; I told her husband; I told my husband. She told me she liked me, too. But, we're both introverts! We're both awkward and private. However, we think so much alike and have tacit understanding. It's the most blissful friendship when we're together, and when we're apart, I think of her. I've journaled our friendship and sent her several stories of us from it, moments I cherish and think of sometimes. All this to say that this video describes her very well. Her traits, as explained in this video, both intrigue me and frustrate me. However, the soul connection is real. I've bought her pens, chocolate, probiotics when she was sick, even cod liver oil! It's true friendship. I really appreciate the fact she's not only an INFJ but she feels like a soulmate. 1 Samuel 18:1 I sent this verse to her. She asked me in a reply text if I was referring to her with the verse. I said "Of course, I was." She loved it. She told me recently she hopes we're not seasonal friends. I hope it's forever. God knows the future.

      Woooow, thank you for sharing that soul connection with such detail that your heartfelt friendship became palpable to me. That is a very special friendship which unfolded slowly but powerfully over time. You sound like soul mates! I'm curious to how your relationship will keep developing.

      @@INFJMalePsychology Thank you for your comments. I, too, am curious how things will unfold. We sync so well, when it's just us, or when we see each other for Bible study or worship services or a walk in the park. However, she can go longer than I prefer without hanging out because she's always super busy. This is harder on me than her. And, sometimes when we're together, we don't talk a lot. We went fishing together today (her husband, too) and we didn't talk much. Probably disappointing for both of us, but neither of us were feeling like sharing our inner thoughts or opening up. We are too similar that it can work against us, too, at times.

    • @INFJMalePsychology
      @INFJMalePsychology 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@heatherhafer3333 Hmmm, I can see your dissapointment about the meet ups without a lot of talking. I find entering stillness together to be a very rich and intimate experience as well. If you can be deliberately still together and sit in silence it seems you enter each other's being or presence more deeply which seems far deeper/profound and intimate. It's a bit scary in the beginning to let the stillness be, but please try it out if you haven't already.

    • @heatherhafer3333
      @heatherhafer3333 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@INFJMalePsychology I genuinely thank you for sharing this. In all honesty, I love this person profoundly. We have such a unique relationship that neither one of us has with anyone else. I tell her "I feel weird (for lack of a better descriptor) sometimes in how I express myself in a text message to you." I've told her in texts "I like you. It just is." and "I love you deeply" and recently "you still have my heart". She told me in person recently "I encourage your weirdness." I said "no one in my life has ever encouraged me to be weird!" She said "Well, you say things that I wish I could say but don't have the courage or know how to say." It is true I am bolder than her (probably because my Fi pushes me so strongly to tell the truth according to what I'm feeling). We used to attempt to hug each other when we saw each other (an effort on both our parts because we're both physically shy and cautious). But, now we don't hug anymore, which is sad. I admire Asian culture because they are physically more comfortable around the same gender (Thai, Chinese, and South Koreans). My friend is often looking at me in a group setting, which seems to be her norm. I look at her extra, too. We can't seem to help it. I wish we could sit quietly sometime, and I could loop my arm in hers, and we could be friends like that. But, we're both too shy. However, I talk to nearly everyone in the church very enthusiastically! And she sees it. And I'm not being fake, either. I love talking to people and listening to them. One more thing, my friend told me she'd have more availablility this summer to hang out, but that hasn't been the case. Frankly, she has many responsibilities. Her husband owns his own dog training business, and she has to get up at 5 am every morning to help with that.

My dates with ENTP girlfriends (which are just as rare as an INFJ males) typically lasts about 5 years. Mature INFJ masculinity is demonstrated by other INFJ males like: Al Pacino, Trent Reznor, Jamie Foxx, Mel Gibson.

    The concept of masculinity is deeply rooted in individual cultural values. This video only addresses a regional concept of masculinity. I am a 49 year old INFJ male and I do not posses feminine physical characteristics. So, being an INFJ male and a "traditional" notion of masculinity are not mutually exclusive. Most of the challenges INFJ guys experience according to this video could be overcome with an understanding an acceptance of one's own identity. Maturity allows you to be yourself and be assertive enough to not give a crap about society's prescriptive impositions.

    • @INFJMalePsychology
      @INFJMalePsychology 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey thanks for commenting, yes you're right. This video addresses typical INFJ male problems in the West let's say. You could be a traditional masculine INFJ male of course, but this video tries to boil down problems the proverbial INFJ male in most cases will have from what a typical INFJ male usually goes through, what I've seen within myself, my INFJ male friends and the INFJ males out there. Yes, maturity helps indeed, however when there has been some scarring of the soul let's say while growing up, some form of therapy may be needed as well to undo the conditioning or work through emotions. I'm curious to what your INFJ male experience is as a traditional masculine man! Could you share some things?

    • @sirphil13

      @@INFJMalePsychology Since MBTI is based of Jungian psychology, Jungian psychologists Robert Moore and Douglas Gillette wrote in their book "King, Warrior, Magician, Lover: Rediscovering the Archetypes of the Mature Masculine" that the masculine primordial energies are not regional, that "all men" share the same collective unconscious when it comes to expressing masculinity. The only differences is immature masculinity (boyish men) vs. mature masculinity. Since the west modern history lacks a central father figure at home, most western males suffer from boyish thinking. Also, Autism tends to make females more masculine with masculine features and males more feminine with feminine features, therefore making today's genders very confused about their identity. So, besides maturity issues, a lack of a father figure at home... rampant autism in today's society is a major cause of identity crisis in today's youth. It's like night and day comparing how Generation X were very clear about our gender identity between males and females, and we had more sex with the opposite sex, making for a calmer and a more relax societal environments.

    I have a few people in my life that I must deal with out of necessity. Sometimes I have to call them, or I have to pick up the phone. One of these guys talks more than anyone I’ve ever met in my life, and I dread having to talk on the phone with him. Just nonstop verbal diarrhea and I don’t get a word in edgewise. This guy also follows me around at work blabbering nonstop while I’m trying to concentrate, it’s awful. He also pulls the ultimate annoyance of sending a text that says, “hey call me I have to tell you something” or, “call me I just have a quick question”. Just text it, ffs! I also have a couple of friends that I really do like, but if they call, it’s always over an hour or more. It cuts into the time I have with my kid, and because I’m busy with my business, I have little time to unwind. I won’t answer the phone if I’m with my kid, working out, playing video games, or trying to get things done around the house. That’s 97% of my time outside of work. The phone is awful because you’re tied to it and there’s absolutely nothing constructive you can do while on it. Just forces you to sit there and listen to crap you don’t even care about. I have to have this stupid phone because of work, but I so wish we could go back to the 80’s; the time when if you weren’t home (or didn’t want to talk) you couldn’t be reached.
