A bucket list interview, I had the chance to chat with Rock and Roll Hall of Fame guitarist Andy Summers of The Police on my birthday. Andy released a coffee table book of his photographs called A Series of Glances during the summer of 2023 and has spent time on the road doing a mixed-media performance including music, storytelling and sharing photos from his collection. Chip Chats - Episode 9 - Remembering Bob Saget
มุมมอง 52 ปีที่แล้ว
We were all surprised to learn of the passing of Bob Saget on January 9, 2021. Bob played America's dad as Danny Tanner on Full House and was a well-respected comedian whose stand-up performances are legendary. In 2019, I started a podcast at my day job where I asked employees to share personal stories with me. One of my co-workers, Jeff D'Anza, came on my podcast to share a story about meeting...
Chip Chats - Episode 6 - Drake White
มุมมอง 183 ปีที่แล้ว
My 17-year-old daughter, Liv, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly from an AVM on June 4, 2018. I had never heard of AVM and was left with so many questions. A year later, People magazine ran a feature on the country/southern rock singer Drake White who had revealed that he has AVM after nearly collapsing on a Roanoke, Virginia stage. I knew from the minute I read that article that Drake was s...
I love princess goes to the butterfly museum especially Mike
Who else noticed original Skid Row drummer *Rob Affuso* in the video for this awesome song?? 🤘🏻
Sebastian Bach is the best. He's a rock legend!!!
Awesome. Sebastian is the best
Love the new songs. I can't wait to hear the whole album.
I've had this song playing in my head constantly, for the past 5-6 days. It is an absolute anthem, and sledgehammer heavy. So much atmosphere and emotion, and full of bone crushing meaning. If you've ever been through any kind of real adversity or turmoil, man, then this song is for you.
This song kicks ass Got me back into Sebastian Bach
i hope for his sake that he feels accomplished as a songwriter, as he clearly can write. the music was written by others, but lyrical composition is not easy, and either is writing vocal melodies. i also hope his expectations are tempered, as this isn't going to top the charts, or chart really high on billboard. what should be most important is that he has made the legions of fans he has very happy with this release.
Sebastian is the best!!!!
This guy is simple the best
Another really good interview. I just watched the one with Andy and now with Stewart. I grew up listening to Ringo, but I would have to say Stewart Copeland is probably my favorite drummer. He doesn’t simply keep the rhythm for the others, Stewart is almost a one-man band on drums alone. His attack just lights me up. I think the Police poster was a nice touch. Well done. 👍🏻
I could listen to Andy Summers all day. So ace.
Andy should get those guys from Call The Police to perform his songs from "XYZ" album, it was a great album songwriting-wise.
Bryan Adams practically switched from music to photography ;)
Amazing interview, many thanks! Btw, that 'guy' who owns the first drumset... well, it's me :) The Baby Blue is just a few meters from me in this very moment. For a fan like me, following The Police since 1979, it's like winning the world cup!
Wow! Thanks for the comment. So cool.
And I can witness it!!! 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
Why don't you sell it? Be worth a small fortune.
would you sell your soul? @@oliverpearson1577
What is the song we hear playing at the very beginning?
It's the beginning of 40 Fingers and Andy Summers playing "Bring On the Night" th-cam.com/video/FNVmrEXqlvE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=2zEq8gtKYPbb-rrc
Thanks! @@chipchatspodcast4506
Awesome interview. Thank you!
Very surprised to hear Sting espousing the view that everything done with the police was ‘pre-planned’ by himself? He then went on to say that despite that being the case Andy and Stewart were great musicians with his entire approach to history sounding skewed and dysfunctional. Especially so where it goes without saying Sting had no part in writing Andy’s iconic guitar parts nor Stewarts drumming work where amt attempt to dumb-down their roles to mere session musicians is entirely inappropriate
Sting is not the cute "save-the-amazon" guy he claims to be. Hes a natural born a*sh*le.
Great interview, and so nicely done! It's always a pleasure to listen to the amazing Andy Summers
