    I did it a less labor intensive way. I used a hot glue gun instead of sewing and not so much fabric . It came out still awesome! Thank you for the idea!

    This series is so helpful! Out of curiosity- how did you come up with the dimensions of the collar, specially the length of the strip?

    • @foundobjects1684
      @foundobjects1684 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Sara. I’m so glad it’s helpful!! With the width I measured from my lower neck down to about where the collar hit on the actress. And the length… I honestly don’t remember. I think I just cut it and it worked luckily. Thanks for asking!!

    Hey! I'm new at sewing and trying to make this dress for Halloween, can u help me to figure out how many pattern do I need for the dress? here in my country patterns are sold by meters, how many meters do u think u used for the dress?

    • @foundobjects1684
      @foundobjects1684 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Nouissaur! I wish I could help you with measurements. I just used a bed sheet to make it as cheaply as possible. So I am not sure of the yardage. The actual dress isn’t that important on fit. It can be a bit baggy since the apron and collar cover most of it!! Happy Halloween!👻

    I'm doing something in between the May Queen and what she was wearing right before being named queen. I like the look of the collar but I didn't care for the crown and going for the yellow one she had on earlier. Thanks for the tutorial on the collar.

    wouldn't the bottom part unravel without sewing it? or does the paint sorta holds it together?

    • @foundobjects1684
      @foundobjects1684 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Yes you are correct!! The paint does kinda SEAL the raw edges of the fabric. But, if the costume needed washing, it would be done very gently and by hand!

    I love how you made the stencils. I'll have to remember that trick. :) It turned out beautifully. Also I laughed at your "hmmff" moment about the apron's flowers being off-center in the movie. Knowing the Harga, I'm sure there was a good reason for that.
