The TMB Modular Bottle is not out yet, and I question its use in a rough use situation. Single-walled metal canteen still stands king. BLK 15 is too small for most uses beyond cutting cordage, and basic similar uses. You'd do better with a full tang belt knife. You certainly ain't building, or cutting much with it. Can't argue defense spray. Good for people, and animals. Another blade multitool that's probably not going to come in too handy in a survival situation. Even a pocket knife would be better. Not even sure what to think about the ring. I mean, the escaping the police, but that generally means one thing. If you're taken by a roving group of bandits, they'll probably take your jewelry. lol I mean, sure NV is good. This set requires at least a hand just to hold. Nothing about helmet capability, or even a head strap. It could serve a purpose though. Fish trap actually seems an idea. Don't know anything about this model, but the idea itself is a good one. I don't live near a body of water where I'd need it, but I could see it's usefulness. Not really in a survival situation, but that likely depends on where it takes place when your world crumbles.... The Reapr bar I get, though I wouldn't get it myself. I have a pry bar in my kit of similar design, minus the knife edge. I have a belt knife for that. I could see bad things happening with that blade edge on there. I get the usefulness of Pinto DMM in a normal camping, climbing, etc situation. It's just extra room taken up in my pack, and a little extra weight I don't really need though. Worry of the tree is least of my concerns if I'm trying to stay alive. It's easy enough to rig cordage even in normal times. Your average person isn't going to know how to use something like this anyways. Rocket fire would be fun just for camping. Not a chance in survival. Extra room, and weight. I have a basic fire starting kit all stuffed into an old Skoal can, and a container of all-weather matches. I'll stick with that, and it'll take up less room all while weighing less. Not sure why Usafe is even on this list. lol Kea Kit doesn't seem bad for the basics, plus a little. I always question these things though over building your own. They will put the cheapest stuff they can in it while charging you the most they can. It's a business, that's what they do. I mean, just looking at what's offered in their kits, you could probably build the same with better for cheaper. Just a passing observation. I haven't tried adding it up, etc to find out for sure. It's pretty average for kit companies though. Same thing with companies that offer x amount of food in a pail. Most of it is junk.
