Shinkansen Bullet train from outside
I took this video outside a station (Shizuouka) about an hour's ride from Tokyo. My reasoning to go there exclusively to shoot this video is that at stations, the trains are stationary; in the midway stations, the trains again stop. So, to see the full, raw power of these beautiful beasts, you need to go to a station where the trains don't stop.
Hope you'll enjoy them!

駅で見るとハンパないのに動画で見るとそんなでもないんだよね
korea france japan german england. which one is the first. which one is the safe. who cares? i do not care. i like sinnksnnsenn. that is all for me.
LOL, I was standing at a station when one of these flew past and I literally couldn't move I was in shock. It was fucking awesome!
Bam! Fast!
@fanirama The max the Acela could've been doing would be 135 since the lines south of New York only allow that as a maximum speed. Likewise being at a station...they tend to slow it down a bit normally...but I could be wrong. It still pales in comparison to the Shinkansen which you see doing between 150-186 in this vid...once again depending on whether they slow down or not near stations. We could definitely use a few more Acela all around this country.
Although this is truly fast, I once saw an Amtrak Acela fly by me at a New Jersey train station. Jesus !! First off, it was quiet when I stood at the station, then a moment later, increasing louder noise and a second later, this thing flies by me at ridiculous speed. The wind effect from it was ridiculous. It was literally, silence, whoosh for like 3-4 seconds and then silence. Incredible speed on the US Amtrak trains. Must've been going like about 120-150 mph easily.
im kinda biased cuz im japanese but i think ppl who support the french TGV just miss the point... trains in japan hav a disadvantage cuz of the terrain. nonetheless the bullet train travels at 300km/h at frequencies of about 1 train every 10 minutes. the TGV can never do that. so the maglev beats the TGV by speed and the bullet train also beats it for being a lot more convinent. tell me if im wrong.
LOL :p
HOLY SHIT! that's awesome! those japanese are CRAZY!
geez those trains are extremely long
They do sound like bullets.
Incorrect. The Japanese Maglev (look up MLX01) is faster and hit 586km/h before the TGV reached it's 574km/h. Besides which, the shinkansen runs at a much higher average speed, and the majority of lines are dedicated to it, unlike the TGV which runs at high speed a lot less.
KING of spped are not SHINKANSEN . It's the French TGV ( see the World Record train speed )
in the video the second train thats my favorite kind of bullet train
this station is unimportant..no train is stopping lol
that was ages ago
I love people like you for being so dumb. I love them so much in fact, that I just wish them to jump on the tracks as the train is coming their way. Idiot people.
that train goes 300 km per hour xD
i remember going on that train. it was so kewl cuz i hadnt been on a train before.
Look carefully: there are 4 sets of tracks. The middle two are used by trains which don't stop (so passengers aren't swept off the platform!).
Get a tripod or a monopod. Learn how to use the zoom and get an editing programme to remove the really bad shaky bits.
lol this is fake the train goes in both direction on the same track....impossible hahah
