@Partnerthedog we've heard the mt10 is pretty indestructible! We have not added one to the collection... yet! Lol! The Rlaarlo ROG1 was kind of a test. And we like it overall. it's fast, fun, drives well, but needs to be more durable. Rlaarlo's warranty was quite good, but it isn't going to help once it is out of warranty. Fortunately, the parts are reasonably priced. You just have to wait for shipping.

@ Your Son has excellent taste! Yeah the weather changes things. I have an old RV in my back yard that I was going to turn into a RC lair/ recording studio, but I’m thinking I’ll gut it out a little and turn it into a indoor mini crawler course?

@CounterproductiveproductionDIY So true! They bash, we repair! Although I try to have my son do as many repairs as possible or assist and at least video while I repair so he learns something. I hope he learns something! It takes self-control to get him to do it because I love wrenching! Lol!

@ I love the wrenching as well. They’re select nights when I see 2: and 4: am then have to be at work @8:am, no regrets… I try to keep most of it separate from family time. Except when we’re watching a random tv show. Thats when I do tires and wheels, and editing. Ever since my Son got a gaming computer, I feel like I lost him when it comes to RC crawling, he still likes bashing and drifting though. I’ll take it!

@@laxkid1234 the Mini Maxx is perfect for ripping around in the back yard! We have an X-maxx too and we take it to the sand pits and its a lot of fun, but you need the space. Also, LAX is awesome! My son plays too!

It is a blast to have a hobby to share with my son! This mini maxx is a fun little rc for a beginner, and it is a little bigger than the Arrma Groms, so it is a little more capable on grass.

We are keeping it stock, I don't think the diffs are a problem on 2s. If it is a problem on 2s, then that means full upgrade time! Lol!

It would probably help the performance if it had a little more weight down low. But this little truck was faster and more fun than we expected. The initial reviews were pretty harsh.

@FatherandSon_RC i wonder if a longer upper and lower control arm would also make it more flip resistant. Mod the crap out of it and show everyone how wrong they are.

​@@LMT069 it is going to remain stock because the local hobby shop is talking about doing a stock mini maxx race class! If they allow mods, or create a modded class, we will mod the crap out of this little guy!

@jruskky7545 we really just wanted to try the Rlaarlo ROG1 and see how it performed, but thanks for the advice on the 14t! The ROG1 has its weaknesses, and we are trying to run it at 75% throttle and see if it is any more durable. Rlaarlo's warranty response was pretty good - it just took a bit of time to get the parts. We also ordered parts to see how that went, and it took a week or two (or maybe three), but they did arrive and were reasonably priced. So far, so good on 75% throttle.

It's great to hear you're having so much fun with yours, we love the Granny too! A friend has the 4s Outcast and it is great! Actually, if the buddget allows, the Outcast 4s is a great little stunt truck! But you can't beat the price of the Granite, especially if you can find it on sale!

Nah, it didn't come that way, we screwed it up and put it back together the wrong way around after we took the shims out of the control arms to stop the dogbones popping out. Our mistake! It survived several packs, but didn't last long! The good news is it was a cheap and easy fix, and the dogbones also stay in!

Jenny's RC is a great source for parts!

Don’t worry about that . Spend $30 on an arrma wide kit and have extra arms . I haven’t broken my wide kit ones yet but it comes real nice in a box with the turnbuckles all set to exact oem specs so there’s no messing with the camber and toe . That will keep it from rolling . It’s highly upgradeable but really needs nothing . Mine is super upgraded with an arrma 4s combo . I had 4s backflips on it for a while with the 17mm hex’s from e bay ($20). After doing all the 6s shocks amd 4s outcast wing , shock extender protectors . I’d say leave it stock and get a wide kit . You ll definitely like the extra inch and a little more each side . She’s perfect with the wide kit and it’s $30 . With that said , I wish I had saved the upgrade and just got another 3s like a typhon or big rock . Just my advice . I also did a Kraton 6s full chassis on up upgrade with a max6 1650kv combo and built another one with extra parts from Jenny’s . I think I spent $150 for a new Kraton 6s and I was comparing them side by side at the same time and the difference is one was way heavier , but stronger for jumping while the other was just as quick and nimble and lighter . I honestly wouldn t do it again after comparing the two . One has more torque but the high speeds are very close . Save yer loot and get another RC is all I’m trying to say

Glad you got a Granite! They are great! The roof skid was off Amazon. It's anodized aluminum. The plastic ones work just fine. This one was a little too big even though they said it was for the Granite, it is more suited to the 3s big rock. The roof skid and rear wing really help to protect the body. We have a video on the wing install, and we list all the parts you need for that. Have fun!

@desicdoggy4034 the Arrma groms are great! They just released brushless versions too! 😎 Try checking FB market place, you might be able to pick up the brushed versions really cheap if people are upgrading.

That might be a simple fix. If bits of sand or small gravel gets into the gear mesh, it can cause clicking. Check that the gears are clean. You can scrape them out with an exacto knife or a metal pic. Also check your driveshafts and CV axles are still intact. People have been breaking them too. Good luck! Our replacement parts just shipped, so we can't wait to get it back up and running!
