Actually the amusement park is just a small portion of the Prater. the Prater is a 6 square kilometer greenery park with a bunch of alluvial forests and a bunch of meadows and a bunch of standing waters which were former arms of the River Danube before the river got imbedded into a man build river bed in the 19th century and it was the former hunting ground of the Emperor till he donated it for the public in 1766. It was for 2 centuries the biggest public city park of the world...currently it is the 6th biggest public city park in the world. Besides the amusement park there is also the Viennese National football stadium located + a horse race track + horse trotting race course as well. At 1:35 the whole green landscape view behind you is part of the Prater and that wasn´t even the whole..

We are a USA family of 5 seniors coming to Oslo and other ares of Norway in August. The streets do not look busy. We are having a car and I am wondering how is parking and traffic jams?

This is actually the safe part of the historic center, but Tepito and Lagunilla are the dangerous zones. Actually almost no people actually lives in the historic center, it's mostly businesses, museums, government buildings, restaurants, etc.
