End-to-End Space, with Peter Beck (CEO of Rocket Lab)
This week on Pathfinder, we’re excited to welcome the one and only Peter Beck, founder and CEO of Rocket Lab. Rocket Lab continues to solidify its position as a leading end-to-end space company, offering launch services, spacecraft platforms, and in-house satellite manufacturing.
In light of Rocket Lab’s Q3 earnings report, which saw a 55% year-over-year revenue increase and a growing backlog of over $1B, this episode dives deep into the company’s strategic and operational decisions driving its success.
In addition, we discuss:
- Rocket Lab’s journey from its early days to becoming the world’s third most frequent launch provider
- The development of Neutron and its significance in addressing medium-class launch demand
- Peter’s philosophy on efficient engineering and capital allocation
- The rise of Rocket Lab’s spacecraft business and its role in the company’s end-to-end space strategy
- Insights into launch market dynamics, from smallsat needs to Starship’s impact on the industry
And much more...

Fantastic interview. Love this guy, very down to earth.
41:38 but not as much as a spoon
100% love Rocket Lab and 100% love this interview. It is kind of nuts how lovable Rocket Lab and Peter are. I don't think I've ever heard an interview from a big shot like this that talks so intelligently about the entire space industry.
It’s refreshing to hear these private companies obsessing over penny pinching
Very good interview!
Great interview and questions. You got yourself a new subscriber. I was looking to see if you have any redwire interviews, but it appears not. Any idea if they are open to interviews?
the audio quality from Peter is absolutely wild, how can it be so good?
I am surprised by the shirt! I did not expect the second stage to be that big! Looks like the chomper is going to have to be quite big!
Beck is a bad ass!
did you watch "wild wild space"? I had no idea that Peter was such a mad lad. If you haven't, you have to check it out!
Love the gangsta shades... Holding 2600 shares, and feeling a bit gangsta myself.
lol congrats, I hadn't noticed the recent bump :).
Great interview!
Very upsetting when you start losing astronauts maybe the truth will come out 👽👽👽👽🥷🥷🥷
구독! 좋아요!🎉
Great interview - excellent questions and I could listen to Peter's thoughts all day. Thank you!
Good interview, love the location and dialog. Your interview went well your variety of questions indicates you were prepared, which helped your audience understand the overall direction of this great company. Thank you.
Both Elon and Peter did an impression of Cohen's "The Dictator": make it pointier! Oh my God!
good interview. good comunication
Pouring my money into this company!!! Take us to the moon!!! 💰 🌕
Mr Beck is a very clever, insightful and sharp man. Great interview. Thanks.
I shared this on reddit! Great watch!
great interview!
Once starship flies regularly, I wonder how other rocket company gonna fare against, because the payload to orbit will be significantly cheaper.
We in New Zealand are very proud of Sir Peter Beck and his achievements. Awesome Kiwi bloke. Great interview - thank you.
He's someone you really can be proud of!
You New Zealanders are the best, if Mr. Beck is any example can't wait to visit your country.
YOU KNOW!
Great video!
Spending the time getting on the video, what a legend
great interview, fun to listen and very informative 🚀
As much as I like Beck, his confidence in the new US administration is misplaced. Economic shocks, egregious corruption, riots are just around the corner.
tune out from msm my man, it is not good for you.
What I love about Peter is that he is a rocket nerd through and through who built rocket engines as a hobby. But, when he talks it is all about the business case. Moon, human space flight etc; nah... not now. Full service integration, oh yes. This is the exact opposite of other CEOs who are business people with no space background but who just go on and on about colonizing mars etc.
lol you know nothing mate
Very good interview with a brilliant man. And you have a great channel. Subscribed.
“All communications companies should be soul searching” -Peter Beck That will be all…
The guy is a visionary
It's not about the size it's about the shape of the tip!
nice t-shirt i would get one, if only you stocked it! don't just keep putting in orders for new mission t-shirts. re-stock the classics! plain rocket lab, neutron, rutherford engine, those should be evergreen offerings!
What a bloody fantastic interview. Congratulations 🎉
I visit your website pretty often and didn't know you have a TH-cam account as well, nice content for a RKLB shareholder!
He’s the most pragmatic, undistracted, and relentless space CEO. More so than Elon imo. If he had as big of a team, RocketLab will definitely become more competitive.
They’re hiring!
did you watch wild wild space? From it, it seems like he has gotten over his wild days, but he seems to have had them :D.
What a thorough interview! A+ job. I'm even more excited about RKLBs future
The balance between amazing innovation and hard real-time-grounded business realism of SPB makes him stand out as the most business-oriented captain of the space industry. RKLB 🚀
Is your name, Islam? Unsubscribed
Bye Felicia 👋
Rocket Lab, ladies and gentlemen is the most revolutionary company in the world now. RKLB is one of the most undervalued stocks in Wall Street right now. How lucky we are to have this public and be able to invest in it.
I’m up 120%. Keep it coming
True that.
Awesome interview. Thank you! ❤🚀❤️🚀❤️🚀 $RKLB
So clever doing the outside walk around
SPB=super personal best = sir peter beck hahaha
My Clear Question is.... Does Rocket Lab produce Rocket Body and Rockets asproduction line ,THEN the customers are scheduled to the appropriate rocket that already in inventory? Or is the Sale of "Seats" first , then they make a rocket for it.
Biggest thing i love about Sir Peter Beck is i dont want to build a company around peter beck i want this company to succeed after my departure. I love this guy
arguably his greatest failure to date (I say that with love and respect to the man)
Great questions
Love the walking interview
