I'm glad you are able to let your circumstances make you better! That's beautiful! I'm learning this, too. Letting go of "my plan" and letting God move in my life for I believe He has the best in store, no matter what it is. I dont want to block it because i keep thinking it should go a different way, like you said. :) Good job on the episode 👏 cool clips, etc.
Thanks Claira!! Glad to hear you’re finding a way that works for you.
@WakingsCall ♡♡♡
YOUR HAIR 😭
What hair? 🤣🤣
Man everything on this video is amazing, quite inspirational, keep it going bro, awesome sound, visuals, message, just great man
Thanks Mario!! I appreciate you watching and your kind words. Welcome aboard
I feel this bro. Now that I know that I am here to co-create my desires into reality, I see myself attaching to certain desires, and running them into the ground, getting caught up in the current circumstances that seem to imply that what I want hasn’t yet arrived or manifested on a level that feels satisfying. I am learning to detach from the expected outcomes, and just be present enough to feel those subtle flows of desire and creativity. When I’m not overly attached to my desires I can even allow for the birth of a new desire to arise, which could be even more satisfying and fulfilling. Thanks for tuning in to what truly moves you, because it really is inspiring to see and feel. I am 💯% with you on this journey, and I know we will continue to reap satisfying fruits, if we tune into inspired actions, bring deeper presence into our practices.
Dave! Glad to hear it resonated and landed with you. You bring you an interesting perspective of letting go of even the desire as well, how does that work for you? Welcome aboard :)
This is very cool!
Ahhhh thank you!
“The path born from desire would be more remarkable than anything I can plan” Would you say “desire” is like an “spontaneous choice” (is not fully planed or forced), that is preceded by genuine actions? I think this is a powerful perspective on personal development and authenticity ❤ Great video ☺️ love the visuals and scenes of the mandala. 🤩🤩🤩
Hmm I don’t really know what desire is.. It seems to be a magnetic force, pulling towards the thing desired. Like a compass.? Idk a great analogy for it Thanks for watching and commenting ❤
@ I’ll stay around my boy, this is really inspiring and worth it to share ♥️

This is gold!! The art, the storytelling, the visuals, the shots… and most importantly, the message. The world needs more people like you Paul!
Ahhhh thank you Fabi! More is coming :)
Howdy! Full Disclosure, the 'Career overwhelm and evolution' section was true for me at the time, but as of now I am actually leaving this career. (This is a part of the next video) just wanted to clarify that :) Have a great day!
Absolutely true. I'd spent half my life listening to gloomy and depressing music. I only recently (about three years ago) began to pay close attention to what I was listening to. When I relapsed, a year ago, and listened to that old music, dark images and concepts of offing myself arose to me at random. I was feeling good generally, and everything around me was fine. Shocking what an hour of that playlist did to my "healed" mind xD
What a difference it makes! Thanks for sharing your experience, what do you listen to now?
@@WakingsCall i still enjoy gloomy electro vibes, but im careful with the lyrics. and a lot of gospel music :D
not sure what you are doing, but i salute you! It's very beautiful and daring, and I really enjoy it. i can relate to "already falling flat new ideas", but this time it didn't hurt. you have a new subscriber and a new fan! 😀 God bless you and your creative endeavors.

I love the way you meld so many aspects into something immersive. So creative!
Thanks for noticing! Immersiveness is the goal, I'm glad it landed for you :)
This is really beautiful, Paul.

This video actually made me tear up. I've moved to a different city, and I've yet to enjoy my living here because I've been on auto mode. Thank you wholeheartedly for this video - it feels like you helped me take a breath and realize the treasure of the current moments of my life. Thank you. 🙏 Funnily enough, your music was also very inspiring for my meditation session. 🧘♀️ You should consider uploading a musical track with such a title; I am sure it would help many. 😌
Beautiful comment, this stopped me in my tracks ❤️ I’m so glad it connected with you and where you’re at mentally and physically! Where did you move? The song is up! Should be accessible through the link in the description and right here wakingcall.com/moments :)
Man I swear if you keep going you’ll have your own niche. Good job with the shots!
Wow this is a meaningful comment, that’s the goal! Thanks for noticing the shots! It's important to me that the visuals feel sincere.
Love the shot where the camera was locked onto the lighter!
Thanks!! That’s my favorite shot too :)
🤯🤯🤯 “Lost in a pile of doing”, Wow! This Short film is beautiful. I like the part of value in the mundane when changing and twisting the perspective a little bit 🙏🏻
Thank you Karina!! Glad that part connected with you, here and there I recognize the beauty around, I want to see it more :)
Great video!!!
I’m glad you connected with the video! What moments felt the most unique to you?
Wow, this video was very compelling. Without even realizing, there were moments during it where I stopped seeing the screen and felt like I was looking into myself instead. I also liked how you related life to an fps. One of my favorite directors, Harmony Korine, is coming out with a film called "Baby Invasion," which is described as "a first-person shooter that blends virtual universes and our reality"
This is the best comment I have ever received!!! Thank you for your words, especially "there were moments during it where I stopped seeing the screen and felt like I was looking into myself." That is the core of what I want to create, and am really grateful that you experienced that! Thanks for the suggestion, it looks interesting!!
Wow, I totally agree with this!! Also, can't wait to see what Harmony is up to next. I enjoy his short films I found on yt.
This felt like new lens of a unique and beautiful experience of life, Wondering what kind of quest is at about to come?, This is really intriguin.
That is a great question! For me, the quest ahead is to create more and more immersive videos, showing the process of an extraordinary life. What is the quest for you?
@@WakingsCall I'm on quest to find "The essense of being" as when I was a child, I wasn't limited to fear and insecurity, it was myself creating little worlds of adventure, to play the role of an explorer, to be and nothing more. That's why your journey is so inspiring to mine, cause you create little words of exploration I've never seen before, and it awakes a genuine curiosity to, what's beyond what is known?.
I think part of the resistance you're up against is that your idea and mission scares people away. That's what's happened to me. I've been subscribed to your channel for a few months and every video comes up and I always tell myself I need to start watching your stuff becuase im interested and support your creative idea, but its scary. I've even been meaning to reach out to you about collabortating on music but i always have another reason to delay becuase it's scary. Its scary to sit there and watch someone be so authentic and real because that requires an uncomfortable level of authenticity and honesty from the viewer. Even in not being authentic enough for your goal thats still authentic enough to make a viewer uncomfortable. But its also an important and good discomfort to go through, but it's also tough for people who are in some way repressed and so many of us are. Case and point, youre creating challenging content. Thats good, but its also challenging And would you be interested in having someone to collaborate on music with? I'm learning guitar and I'm not really functional yet but I've been using that exuse too long. I clearly need another person to keep motivated. I'm like writing lyrics and I'm interested in vocals.
Hey! Thank you for your comment, while I haven’t heard this before, it makes a TON of sense. My journey is uncomfortable all around haha, makes sense it would turn some people off, my hope is to find a balance between entertainment and authenticity, something original, engaging, and vulnerable. Not there yet, but on the right track!
As for the collaboration, no. I’m glad to hear you are playing guitar, and would love to hear any of your work, even give feedback. But for now, I am focused on creating my unique style of music. Let’s talk in 5 years and collaborate then! Warmly, Paul
If one just tells a story that only he knows then he is a creator. It is easier for those if us that are more experienced. Yet, even young people have stories. Do not fret, you will be fine. Tell your stories.
Thanks for sharing your perspective :) For me, there’s the stories, yes, but how I articulate my experience, the art I create.. THAT is what I want to be original :)
Hey. I wrote a big reply here, and TH-cam doesn't show it anymore... I wonder if it was automatically sorted into your spam comments? (I don't know why... probably because it was big?) I just wanted to let you know. 😔
Howdy! Thanks for letting me know, you are right! I changed the settings. Sad to hear the comment is gone :( I hope you have a great day!
I´m glad to be here Even if you were playing by TH-cam rules I feel there was a deep message to each one of your previous videos, there was a special connection with my own journey, I feel like you, IDK if MY LIFE will ever be as impactful as I imagine, as beautiful and meaningful as I dream, but here we are with an "Emphty" feeling of NOT KNOWING, Thanks for being a comprehensive ally through this Journey Paul, I don't feel alone even when there no one around. This is the plase I want and I chose to come back everytime.
So glad it hit home with you. We are in this together! We’ll know it’s possible when we look back at what we created
I'm glad that you want to inspire others through the power of the music that you conduit. I highly recommend checking out Alexandra Blakely's song, "Carry This All." Her music and song circles are very powerful and uplifting, particularly with respect to processing grief. And I think that grief is an emotion that the US at large has a lot of difficulty with processing, especially in a communal way. Whether grieving for another or mourning for a past/current self.
Hey hey! Thank you for the recommendation! I appreciate how you articulate, and you bring up some great points on grief.
I found you by watching your video brainwashed by music and I found it interesting because you uncovered a subconscious thing and you implemented elements from your past videos like the music you added to that video. I think that since you’ve chosen authenticity as a guiding principle it may be a slower growth in the beginning but you’re actually attracting more people who feel connected to you in an authentic way. That video I watched of yours was one of my fave videos I’ve ever watched. Tho what made that video special I could not tell you but don’t be discouraged believe in yourself and why you’re doing this
Hey! Thanks for sharing your perspective, glad to hear that video resonated. I agree about authenticity/originality, it’s a slower start, but it will attract people that really care! Glad to have you on board :) Warmly, Paul
@@WakingsCall I can’t wait to see what else you come up with! :)
Hi. Your content is overall really good. The music is enticing, a journey experience each time, and the visuals of the videos are, most often, beautiful and transferring me to a different place. There's just one thing that puts me off in your music, and these are the lyrics and their effects. It feels like you put too many effects on your voice (autotune, echo, etc). I am no sound or music expert, but it sounds too much in my ears. Although you could have created something pure and beautiful, a lot of "noise" ends up appearing when your singing voice is involved because of all the effects. In my opinion, you need a little more practice with your vocals. I feel like your music would sound infinitely better without all those extra effects. Also, your lyrics are very blunt. They are very literal. I understand the messages you want to give to the audience, but you may want to think of a different approach. It sounds like you wrote a text (that very rarely rhymes) which you read in a singing voice, and it sounds like "preaching" and doesn't get the message across. I do agree with your messages, and I do believe in the power of music. However, the times I've become genuinely inspired by songs is when the music was enticing (yours fit in this category) and/or when the lyrics gave me strength. Do a little research on the kind of music that empowers people. Especially about the lyrics, since your genre is unique and won't fit in what most people are used to listening. At the least, make your lyrics rhyme.
Hey there! Thanks for the comprehensive feedback, glad you’re enjoying the visuals and the instrumental aspects 😊 I appreciate you bringing attention to what didn’t resonate for you. I agree on needing to practice my vocals, it’s one of the areas that needs the most work. And for the lyrics, thanks for pointing that out how literal they are, I’m still learning and working to find my own style, and who knows, maybe if 3-5 years the lyrics will be more poetic, more ‘showing not telling.’
@@WakingsCallThank you for reading, and I'm sorry if I was abrasive. I enjoy your music a lot, and I wish to see you evolving. Best of luck.
@norwaywalksasmr9478 I really appreciate it actually. Feedback is valuable to me, thanks for making the time to share your perspective! In a few years I wonder what can happen with slow but steady growth, I hope the rest of your day is awesome!
Wow. Super immersive.
Thank you! I wanted to take you on a journey, glad it felt that way :)

😃 thanks for watching!
Fascinating content. Similar to you, I was born into organized religion - Catholicism - but I quickly became agnostic. And then sorta nihilistic. Then I started going for an omnist perspective, where I adopted what resonated most from whatever I could find, but I always felt like a tourist at this latter stage. And funnily enough, it was through psychedelics that I became more in touch with the symbolic world, which is partly what led me back to Christianity - but this time on my own terms. I found a nondenominational church with a community that I like, and I sometimes shake it up, checking out other churches that I pass by on the road - regardless of denomination. Though I still value taking in wisdom from other holy books, communities, and philosophical teachings, I've found that it all started really coming together as a greater whole once I became truly able to give myself to faith for the first time in my life.
Welcome back! Thanks for sharing your journey, you’ve come full circle! It sounds like you’re finding what you looked for, does it feel freeing to have your own relationship without so many conceptual limits?
@@WakingsCall I feel like I am finding what I’m looking for, and it being “without so many conceptual limits” seems like a good way of putting it. I realized not so long ago that the majority of those limits were being perpetuated through my own cynical framing and perspective on life. And that I had isolated my first-hand experiences with Christianity to one church/church community. In that isolation, I thought that it was sad for Christianity to be shattered into different denominations. But now that I’ve returned to faith without classifying myself as a particular sect, I’ve realized that different denominations are that much more to enjoy. And when I feel called to, I like exploring new houses of worship in my Sunday dedication to God. I find that every church that I’ve gone to has its own beautiful way of expressing the holy trinity. It’s even made me more able to appreciate my childhood church when visiting with family. So Christianity has sort of become like jazz for me, where the same song can be expressed in an infinite number of ways, and where experiencing each interpretation makes the essence of the song feel that much more palpable.
@Carvaka thanks for sharing! That’s a perspective I haven’t heard before
@@WakingsCall happy to connect. There’s a Flannery O’Connor quote that I keep coming back to with respect to religion and faith: “Either one is serious about salvation or one is not. And it is well to realize that the maximum amount of seriousness admits the maximum amount of comedy. Only if we are secure in our beliefs can we see the comical side of the universe.”
❤ I choose Waking call as an ally that encourages, understands and loves myself through my own path 🫂 It still scary at times, there are many times where I had to quit on jobs, people and places, just because it didn’t feel as the path I wanted to follow. So I choose the one that stands for who I am, with my own flavor and vision for the future, that challenges myself ❤ Every single video I’ve watched before gave a reason to think that this project on music and authenticity is what I’ve been looking for 🫂
Honored to be with you as you fight for an authentic life! Thanks for following along❤️

nice idea dude! like your approach of making music
Thank you, glad to have you onboard :)
Thank you for doing this important work. I also hope to create music with the same intention in the future. Some of my favorite conscious artists: - Aisha Badru - Rising Appalachias - Nakho Bear (love his acoustic music). - Livingston - Macklemore is actually a very commited and engaged creator - Beautiful Chorus - Ksenia Luki - Xavier Rudd - Asa (Jailer, Bibanke,...) To name a few...
Hey Etienne! Thanks for the comment, that’s a great intention. What style of music do you want to create? And thanks for that list of artists, I've only hear of a few of them, more to experience!
I grew up with goth and metal music and I wholeheartedly agree. I can't even listen to lyrical music now. I caught onto this many years ago.
Way to go! What was that transition like for you?
@@WakingsCall It started when I went on a detox of 100% raw fruit diet to clear psoriasis, which I did. Took me 12 months but within this time frame other things started to happen. Its very hard to explain. Old negative emotions from throughout my life emerged and were released. The detox was physically but also emotionally tough. So after 6-7 months I was suddenly very calm. Every thing felt different. I started to feel embarrassed listening to the music I had listened to all these years. It just sounded so cornball and depressing. Then I could see it, what it was really all about, the sinister meaning behind the lyrics, the band names etc. The first trigger, I happen to see an image of Metallica's early poster/album cover which was a toilet with the slogan metal up your ass written across it. Like HOW did I not notice the absolute embarrassing stupidity of it all. Its like a veil was lifted. Today I laugh but shake my head when I see Metallica lower a huge toilet on stage while people clap. Talk about a symbol of negativity... A huge crapper really does sum it all up.
That’s a powerful journey, it sounds like there was a significant inner and outer transformation. I’m fascinated by how you NOTICED it! Maybe it had been there the whole time but you have the awareness to see it now. What are some instrumental/non-lyrical artists you listen to now? Some of my favorites right now are - Tony Anderson - Jon Hopkins - Ioto - Sigur rose (kinda non lyrical)
@@WakingsCall Well I was very young and it was over 20 years ago so I've had a lot of time to take it all in. It was a powerful journey. I remember the guy who told me to switch my diet to raw fruit and what he said. . He said, to be aware, fruit is ruthless, there is no hiding place. My god he was right, it really is. It's the most highly electrical food on this planet. Fruit reveals before it heals. Sigur rose I know well. Mostly I love film soundtracks like The Fountain by Clint Mansell or Hams Zimmer. Other times it's classical like Vivaldi. I tended to stay away from lyrical content but seeing your video has peaked my curiosity so I will certainly look into your music and others you have suggested. You've given me food for thought. The only advice I can give you is to make your diet at least 60% raw fruit to maintain a healthy body and mind. A 100% if you ever get ill. Cooked foods are the cause of 99.9% of all diseases.
Ahhh, movie soundtracks! What a rich source of beautiful music 🎵 Thanks for sharing more context, it sounds like you’ve found some tools that work for you. Excited to hear what you think of Waking Calls music!
growing i never was into the populatr music and i couldn't sing all the words and felt like an outcast but over the years i think i never want to learn these words. there is so much great music to explore. I was lucky my parents gifted me a piano at the age of 5 and have been playing ever since, 33 now. people i meet i ask them what kinda music do they listen to or who is their favorite artist. a lot of NPC artist from females. dudes have a little more variety. the more obscure the better. really cool video. thanks for sharing.
that's a unique story! what a great gift from you parents, how did creating your own music shape what you've listened to over the years? Kinda similar for me, I was brainwashed with Christian music growing up, but played violin all through childhood, it wasn't till college where I fell into the rabbit hole of more mainstream music. since then it's been a journey to find my own taste, exploring music that led me to feel more hopeful and inspired about life! Thanks for commenting, great to hear from another music artist!
You’re so right! I’m glad I’m not alone in this
You're right! were in this together, thanks for watching and coming along on the journey :)
I completely agree-what we put into our minds matters. Thanks for exploring this!
Agreed! Thanks for watching :)
Nice promo concept
Thanks Edd!
This is really great stuff
Thank you Cole! 😊
Thank you man i’ve been searching for this answer for the past 4 months, I know how it was effecting me but I didn’t understand how.
Glad we found eachother! What started the search? What were you noticing from the music you were listening to?
I really enjoyed your video! At first, I thought this was a channel with thousands of subscribers because the quality was so good. The way you explained how music subconsciously influences us was eye-opening. For example, I’ve been listening to a lot more rap lately, and I’ve realized my attitude toward certain things has changed. Of course, that could be part of growing up, but since I started listening to more rap, I’ve noticed that I focus more on money, clothes, and material things, which wasn’t the case as much when I was into rock. Your video really made me reflect on how much music shapes our mindset. Keep up the great work-I’m looking forward to seeing more content from you!
Thanks for sharing your experience with how rap may have altered your views, what did you listen to growing up? Glad to have you on board, thanks for watching :)
@@WakingsCall I used to listen to a lot of radio music growing up, but not much else. When I did get into something, it was mostly rock music that really fascinated and influenced me. It even inspired me to pick up the guitar! :) Looking forward to seeing more of your videos, by the way-you're doing a great job!
You play guitar? Awesome! Do you write music too?
@@WakingsCall Nah, i dont do music by myself, I just play around a little bit, nothing serious :)
Gotcha! What’s your favorite way to create?
Your words and thoughts warm my soul, felt like I was listening to a true friend looking out for me.
Wow, thank you 😊 That’s exactly the intention here, thanks for watching and commenting!
