I think Chile mountains would have barred mech and MBT from combat moving into Peru

Wouldn't an Airborne be a better purchase, as the Soviets do not have planes on the carrier, which then you could take that Airborne from Sao Paolo and take Falkland islands from the Soviets on the following turn and also hitting the soviet fleet as well so they can't take it back on the Soviets following turn if you manage to kill the Soviet fleet?

Good move with the Soviet SSN. Note that US getting an air unit on ASW air patrol in the sea zone where the US fleet is, would make that move a lot more difficult

In that time and until today Costa Rica have a better production, better social order, and nicas immigration to Costa Rica, for economic reasons, was, and is, sadly a burden tor us. Costa Rica abolición of the army was made 1948 to 1949, but demilitarization of police was speed up and completely, for our demise, in 1986 to 1996. Costa Rica Guardia Civil, Guardia Rural and Military police had M13 armed carriers, recoiled rifles, morters, machine guns, helicopters and propel aircraft with armament, and have had combat clashes with Nicaragua regular army, guerrillas and smugglers, all the way from 1953 to 1988.
