Using feedback is another cool technique. I haven't figured it out yet, though, lol. I always dig the use of a well-placed rest in hxc and punk music. It's hard to pull off

It's neat how sliding from one chord to the next (during the hxc section) adds to the tension and aggression.

There's more in common than not, which surprises me. The differences are subtle, and the stlyes beautifully cross pollinate. This can be frustrating at times; other times, it's liberating. I guess, however, it depends on my current mindset because I can also make the case that the subtle differences have a huge impact on the music that emerges. It speaks to the notion of genres: they exist and have value, but the lines are blurry and fluid. Please forgive my stream of consciousness, lol.
