Happy belated birthday till Hadassa ❤ It made me sad to hear that she's struggling, but I can understand so well what she's going through. 💔 At the same time it's a struggle many expats go through but only few people share on there internet I guess. Usually it's all bells and whistles but the reality is different. I think we all appreciate your honesty. The language/ cultural barrier can be a lot sometimes but you're on the right path with SFI. I'd also try to immerse myself in the language as much as possible, listen to the radio or TV on swedish. I still remember my frustration but it will get better. Good luck to you both and thank you for sharing your journey🩵
@@Agnieszka_TN Thanks so much for your kind words 🙏🏼🥰 Yeah we have to get through this together, but she’s doing good 💪🏼 Just because of this I want to share the real story and not just the happy stuff. I think that’s not a good picture of how it really is as you also say. Yes we talk as much Swedish and learn a lot during the day at work or SFI. That really helps 😃 Thank you again for your comment and have a wonderful week 😊
@@lifeof_guy thank you, and the same to you! Greetings from rainy Lund. 🌧️
@ Thank you! Oh rain is not nice… here dry, sun (when it comes over the horizon 😉) and “warm”
@@lifeof_guy I don't mind rainy weather. It is what you make it 😉 Wearing the right clothes is the secret 😄
All the best for Hadessa. 🎂🎁🙂 Yes, I can understand that it's very difficult for her in her job. It's great that you also talk about the difficult things when you emigrate. All the better that Hadessa likes Sweden with its wonderful landscape so much. The beginning is hard, but there are two of you (or three ;-) and you can do it together. It looks strange that snow machines have to be used in central Sweden, but I assume it's to optimise the slopes??? Best wishes to you all (also to your mum, I hope she is well again). ❤
@@nane5159 Yes we are with 3 so we can support each other and help when needed 🙏🏼 That’s really a great thing ❤️ It all will get better and definitely will be enjoying Sweden more and more, as you say it’s really beautiful here 😍 They use the fake snow for the first firm layer they have told me 😉 And there hasn’t been that much snow yet! 🙈🤔 Have a great week! Oh and mum is doing well 🙏🏼😊

Grattis på födelsedagen of Gelukkige verjaardag Hadassa! Again a nice video Guy :) Cool to see Solleftea turn into a winter wonderland again.
Thanks so much mate! 🙏🏼 Yes slowly as today it’s above zero again ☹️
Grattis på födelsedagen, i've been in your situation before but when I finished my swedish language everything came smoothly. You learn more by communicating to your costumer because sometimes you learn from them. Don't be ashame by speaking wrong swedish word because they understand that you are trying your best. I am sure that you feel better after one year or two. Keep your head high and think positive.
Thank you for your comment! Yes speaking with everyone in Swedish as much as we can! Just to practice and learn more 😊 Yeah next year will feel a little different I assume 🙏🏼😊
Happy birthday to Hadassa! Her insight was very useful as it addressed some of our anxieties as well. With every new video we're getting a bit more clarity about what it's like moving there, so thank you a lot for this! And yeah, for sure it's starting to look like a winter wonderland, so enjoy it!
Thank you! Yeah we all go through different phases and with different experiences. Happy it gives you some insight and clarity for your own journey 🙏🏼😊
What you are doing is reinvention, transformation and that is life! You are doing well because that is to live truly. It does not matter to start from zero again. that is always the other side of the coin as far as transformation is regarded. Be courageous as you already are. You will not repent of growing through those experiences. Look at everything as a privilege, as it truly is! All the best for you!
Thank you so much for your uplifting words 🙏🏼 We know we are going through a big change, with change comes growth and that’s an important part of life 🙏🏼😊 We keep growing and will hopefully soon say yes this is IT! 😁
A dutch guy saying "this is warm for me" and it looks like a freezing rain.... : )). For me 15° C would already be "cold"!! I imagine when is so cold "man kan äta mycket utan att gå upp i vikt". Is that so? Wish you guys all the best. All things will work well and soon you both will be certainly speaking Swedish! I am studying Swedish two or three hours per day in advance before moving to Sweden and your comment helps me to keep studying! Tack!
Haha yeah I am born for Scandinavia I think! I am usually quite warm quickly 🙈 But 15 is for me really nice haha… also -15 is really nice 🙈😂 Yes you burn a lot of calories in the cold… of course too much Kanelbulle is not good for the weight haha 😉 Yeah we will get there 💪🏼 Oh that’s good! Keep doing that as it will definitely help you to thrive here in Sweden 😁 Where will you move too? 🤔 Thank you!
Keep up Hadassa!👍🙏👏🇸🇪
Thanks! She will 💪🏼
I’ve been told that Swedish is quite difficult to learn, but you mustn’n give up!👍🙏👏🇸🇪
@ We have the advantage of knowing German and Dutch… so loads of similarities 😉👌🏼
I takes quite the courage for the both of you to open up like this! You guys are doing a great job and can be proud of what you have achieved so far. I am very impressed with both your perseverance while enduring hardships. Ha, I loved the way how Hadassa's birthday was celebrated! With lots of love, from your friends a little down south 😊 (Also, the pie, the tea, the food, it was awesome🎉)
Thanks so much mate! 💪🏼🥰 But I guess opening up about it sometimes makes more sense than only saying it’s amazing all the time! It is amazing but there are hurdles to overcome, for everyone (also the ones who don’t talk about it). I feel that being honest also about the downsides can help other people who are in or want to be in the same situation 🙏🏼😊 At least I hope 😉 Yes it was amazing, thanks for joining 😁 see ya soon

My thoughts on "Sweden's dark days": I'm originally from Germany. Where I lived, the days were longer in winter than here in Sweden, but they were grey-brown (so no nice coat of glistening snow) and cold and wet. This wet cold drew you everywhere, no matter how warm you dressed. I spend a lot of time outdoors for work and therefore experience this more intensely than most other people who tend to spend their time indoors in winter. In Sweden, the days are shorter in winter than back in Germany, but firstly, the sun shines much more often on these short days than where I lived in Germany. And secondly, the snow wraps everything in a magical cloak. The ugly grey-brown is covered up. What's more, the "dry cold" is much more pleasant to endure than the disgusting "wet cold". I'm happy to put up with shorter days in winter if 1. everything is covered in a white blanket, 2. the dry cold doesn't get on my skin, 3. the sun shines every now and then during the few hours of daylight and, finally, I can see the Northern Lights in the starry (soooo many stars!!!) night sky. All this is worth enduring the Swedish darkness in winter. It's worth it because it reveals so much beauty. ❤For me anyway. 😉 (And then I would also like to say that darkness feels different to me here in Sweden than it did in my old home country.)
Oh I totally agree on this, Swedish winter is so much different from the one we are used to! The world turns in to a magical white darkness with occasionally green/purple/red colours in the sky!! Really an amazing experience, I love it! The dry cold is really nice actually, better than the wet cold back in the Netherlands/Germany. I hope you will have a great winter ahead :)

Leuke video weer!
Guy, I'm in Colorado on the Front Range of the Rockies. I really liked your video. Certainly, we aren't close to having darkness as your location does. Still the lack of sunlight affects everyone here too. We do have a good deal of clear night skies which showcases the Moon but not even close to the number of stars you have. There are days when I go to work in morning darkness and get to view the full moon over the mountains. It's life-affirming. And the aurora is quite a sight for you. We have had wisps of it this far south this year. I get through the lessening of light intensity by using natural light bulbs. Yet it is the lack of color in my surroundings that does me in. I highly recommend bright color along with the natural light. Best wishes on your channel. Looking forward to your postings.
Oh that sounds like a great location! Never been there, must be a beautiful area 🤩 Yes I can imagine that in general less light affects many people. Darkness with a starry sky, I love it! The moon always gives a beautiful sight isn't it? Aurora is the best of them all! But it's cold and soon colder to capture it haha. But will keep going out for sure! 😍 Thanks for the tip, someone else gave me that tip aswel. Definitely I will have a look at that! Thanks a lot 🙏
I grew up close to Sollefteå in junsele and went to school in Sollefteå. I miss being up there, thank you for sharing.
Oh then at least you need to visit it again I would say!
No, you're not the only one in Sweden who wants more snow. 😄I'm there too. ❄🙂❄ I find the gloves very interesting, especially the mittens with the zips. I wish you a good start for your web shop. I don't think the shipping thing is so easy, but you'll manage. Bästa hälsningar och krya på dig! 🍀
Ah good, maybe a snow dance? haha. Yes they are very easy to use and the zip is very handy! Thanksssssss... it's still a little struggle haha.
Such great shots again! Thank you, Guy. I also have a hard time with the Swedish language (jag kommer från Tyskland). When I have a written text in front of me, I can understand it reasonably well. But when I hear the same text, I understand almost nothing. I find pronunciation really difficult, but it gets better with time. A good exercise is to sing Swedish songs 😉 Bästa hälsningar från Småland och grattis till 1.000 Followers. ❤🙂
Yes the reading and then understanding is maybe the easy part... The listening is different indeed, although I notice I get the basics of what they say nowadays. Slowly improving haha. The "singing" of the language is really the hardest part.... but we will get there haha. Thanks so much!
So your litteraly living in the "Fear Street" series?
I don’t think there is any horror here 🤷🏼♂️
Hi Guy, Nice images again! One tip…be careful flying the drone trough the clouds in fall/winter…there might accumulate some ice on the propellers due to the moisture even with temperatures above zero. The drone can then fall out of the sky. Keep on going 😊
@@benvanboom8907 Haha yes I am aware of that! But it’s about 7-10 degrees here still this last days… but definitely will be careful 😉👍🏼
