Doing is understanding 😃! After two attempts, I’m finally getting the hang of how to join up lights and darks, helping the eye to travel around the painting. Karel here from America absolutely gorgeous but question maybe I missed. Foreground sheep did you rubber cement, Frisket, to keep paper white or did you paint around. That for me would have been tough. Would have painted in an ended up using titan white.

Nice painting. If you want a vibrant red paint with a watery, warm yellow first, let it dry then glaze with your bright red. The paint colours need to be translucent.

That's so beautiful! Tip today (valuable) was to paint the leaves and branches loosely high up without the trunk at the side which is what I've always done but yours in this painting looks balanced. Thank you Robert so much these little gems are changing my paintings. 😊

Beautiful hare one of the best Ive seen in watercolour. Anything you can do with any animals from different countries and large birds like pelicans in a seascape setting with boats, water, would be fantastic. Love the painting and your expert instruction

One of my favorites. The point of interest in this painting is simple, but dramatic; and the last bit of orange you added was worth it's weight in gold. Muy espectacular! Also, you are definitely inspiring me to paint more loosely.
