Nice experiment Mark. I found half a roll of expired vx200 in a camera in a bucket at a carboot sale so no idea how it had been stored. Reset the ISO to 50 and finished the roll, the shots had some colour shift but came out great, definitely not pink! I loved it so much that I always grab it when I see a cheap roll and have got some VX100 in 120 to play with in future. hope you find some more rolls!

I need to make another video on this camera because it’s become one of my go to cameras. Particularly if I’m out with the family, I don’t have to think about settings, it’s a great point and shoot. I’ve used a variety of films, I think it just comes down to having something that is going to work well in the light you’re expecting to be in (although this does have a flash) I’ve got some great shots from Gold and Ultramax as well on this camera. Keep an eye out for a ‘Year Later’ review on this, because I know a lot more about it now.

What a gray area it is! I get it, the intent of us film shooters is to get it right in camera and embrace the inherent limitations, but why not push the envelope? People been dodging, burning, and retouching before computers. Subbed! BTW on a slightly related note, if you have a sec, I just posted a silly light hearted childish look into the ethics of wide angle close up vs telephoto voyeurism when shooting the public. I've done a little research on the film before and the "light leaks" on the black and white was light piping from how you loaded it. The reason the leader is a different color is to protect the film, but its supposed to be loaded in a dark environment to prevent this.

RE: editing film (or digital for that matter) - I think it only is a problem if authenticity is an intended part of the photo (reportage, wildlife, etc.). I also think this is softened if the intended photo could have been captured anyway with sufficient patience. Whether you waited or edited, the result is the same. Basically, as long as *how* you arrived at the photo doesn't comprise part of the art or meaning in the photo, who cares? People don't care about the color of trousers you were wearing when taking the photo, so by the same token they shouldn't care about editing vs waiting.
