so beautiful
that wash on that Constantinople bounce ride is IT.
Excellent! 'Been playing since Nixon got elected. I liked them all really. Rides will make you crazy. Some of the best paying gigs are lay'n back there and keeping time!!!
Great comparison! Which is your favorite?
Very interesting. It shows how different cymbals can be, even if they’re of similar size and weight. And it’s also interesting how the same cymbal model can vary from one to another. I also use a Sabian Artisan Light, but it weighs almost 300g more! Another thing I love is how different the old Ks are. I don’t care for the first one, but I looove the second one. Very unique sound!
such a BIG difference on those cymbals!! Greeat comparison
Very good job 👍 congratulations
Bosphorus Master Vintage and Zildjian Constantinople
❤🎉😊
The first video where I actually enjoyed the sound of Sabian cymbals. And it is Artisan series only. But Bosphorus Special 3sw sounds simply phenomenal!
I bought a couple Bosphorus rides, I'm convinced they are the best out there right now, Turk 22 and SW 22, amazing. Also, a dream 22 Flat Earth, maybe my favorite of them. Thanks for this!
I know I'm being picky but I think all the cymbals should have been the same diameter. One inch more or less does make a big difference.
The only ones I didn't care for were the 18" Istanbul and that last Bosphorus. Every other one had great qualities that speak with their own voice and complement the music in their own special way. I absolutely loved the first two Zildjian models. The K Custom Dry Complex was exactly what I always thought they should sound like although not all of them are this good. I've heard several that were simply harsh but this particular one really had those characteristics of the vision Bill Stewart had for this model. The 22" K Con Bounce is a much more spread out version of the 20" that I play. That's a really nice ride that would fit any Jazz style. I'd have loved to also hear a K Con Renaissance up against those other two. Those are magnificent in their own right. But again, all of these really are beautiful instruments.
Those 2 are also probably my least favorite. The dry complex sounded pretty harsh at first but it sort of grows on you and now it's super awesome!
hahahaa música chata
Interesting but why not the other half - hihat foot?
Lots of good stuff here. One stand out for me was the Bosphorus Special ride. Never seen that one before. Nice work. Thank you
That artisan light ride is sick Never played one because I’ve been satisfied with me Sabian dry raw bell ride But I’ve played a few artisan crashes and they’re amazing
I love my old Paiste 602 and a Bosphorus Turk that is very similar to the Masters you play in the end.
this ride sounds awesome, but I dream about the same with sizzle !!
I'm a straight up Bosphorous lover.
They're great cymbals!
Great video!!!
If you had to choose between the Lauritsen and a Funch, what would you choose??
Out of these I'd choose the funch as the Lauritsen is super thin and doesn't work in all situations. However I have this other Lauritsen at about 2300g which is one of my favorites as a main ride. Couldn't choose between the Funch and that one. I have a cymbal comparison video with both lauritsens if you wanna check it out
@@cvcgac Yes! I will have to check that out!!
Best demos I have heard
That’s about the nicest sounding bop kit i ever heard on a video Congrats with the kit, cymbals, recording and wonderful phrasing and dynamics!
Maaan thanks so much for the comment!
Dry complex ride!
fantastic sounding kit, are you on Instagram?
Thanks! I actually am but don’t post much. My username is kuningassantasarkka if you want to check it out
My dream rides are this Paiste Masters and the Masters Swish. This video proved to me that any ride with rivets sounds good.
Go cat daddy go!! *snaps fingers*
Great demo. I prefer the sound of the 2nd cymbal played for it's blend of wash and sticking. I'm talking about the famous Zildjian K Constantinople Bounce Ride 22".
Thank you so much bro!!
great sounding kit. interesting tuning... 1st tom is higher than the snare? not sure I've heard it done like that before.... nice touch.
Thanks! I’ve been experimenting with the tuning after I got this 14x8 snare. I like to tune my toms high and also like the buzz that comes from the snares if the rack tom is tuned somewhere in the same area as the snare. Before I had the snare a little higher but I feel that with it being this deep that I’d have to crank it up a bit too much. Elvin Jones has his rack tom tuned like an octave higher than this in McCoy Tyners record Real McCoy! Also Max Roach liked to crank up his toms.
Aaand I was also supposed to record several different tunings but video games have been consuming alot of time.. haha! But thats coming in the near future
I was just going to say 1st tom is really high but i love it
Zildjian bounce ride is the holy grail
Videos like this are so helpful! Thank you so much for taking the time to make this. I find myself drawn to the Bospohorus and old Zildjians.
Paiste Masters all the way! ... and the way it wobbles compared to the others... Its basically a living thing.
Love that ride angle and height, exactly how I use my ride
En kyl jumalauta tajunnu
you didnt say you added rivets to about half of them tho, so those are not stock cyms anymore
Bosphorus Master Vintage, great stick, buttery feel that you can see, controlled wash with nice jazzy harmonics. But all sounding great in your hands!
Great sound. What microphone(s) and audio interface you are using?
Thanks, I used a pair of AKG C214’s. Interface is a Roland octa-capture. Both are decent but the preamps on the roland run pretty hot. Sometimes I have to add an attenuator between the mic and pre.
