Family Reunited After 13 Years – Our EPIC Whitsundays Adventure! Ep 1
Patreon: www.patreon.com/user?u=19042899
After 13 years apart, our family is finally back together-and this trip is all about rediscovering the joy of being with the people we love. We’re setting sail on an unforgettable journey through the Whitsundays, exploring beautiful waters, breathtaking landscapes, and the powerful lessons that come with spending quality time as a family. 🚤✨
This adventure isn’t just about stunning views-it’s about letting go of the past and embracing the present. We all carry stories from the past, but it’s in the moments we share now that we find the real magic. This trip reminded us of how important it is to let go of old grudges, heal, and reconnect with those who truly matter. Life’s too short to hold on to old pain. It's time to show up for each other with love, understanding, and acceptance.
As we journey through the Great Barrier Reef-where my mum last visited over 20 years ago-we’re reminded of how much has changed in the world, and in ourselves. The reef is struggling, but the real takeaway here is that we all have the power to protect what we love-whether that’s our oceans, our families, or ourselves. 🌊💙
We hope this adventure inspires you to let go of whatever is holding you back, embrace the people who matter most, and focus on building a future full of love and joy. Together, we can make a difference-for our oceans, for our planet, and for the relationships we cherish.
Join us on this journey and be part of something bigger than ourselves. Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more adventures, laughs, and inspiration. stay tuned for Ep 2 coming soon

    Better off going joining sailing into freedom in Vietnam and getting an aluminum cat made while working and have a strong built structure the first time instead of all the future disasters of a secondhand old wooden framed boat that will keep falling apart in places where parts and bits and pieces will be hard to get . Do it right from the start .

  • @drjasper100
    @drjasper100 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Hmmmm 🤔 a plywood boat, expecially an older plywood boat will always have rot. What would have concerned me would be checking the superstructure and frame which you can onky really tell byslipping it. Plywood boats are fairly easy a d not expensive to repair. Just time consuming. Personally id never buy a ply boat.

    Can’t see what all the fuss about. Just take it easy and all well. When the wave rake your boat with green water, boy to stern…now that’s real stuff. A few sloppy waves over the bow…nah. But lots of lessons learned. Everything should always be stowed / tied on, including you. Outboard motors not much use in short waves.

    Bloody old Spindrift. I had the larger version and I looked at a 37 Spindrift and ended up buying a 45 footer. It had rot over the watertank and that was all. I bought mine in 1989 and had it to 1991. Moved to a alloy cat.

    I remember when this boat first came for sale… she looked the goods from the photos! For the right price, the Crowther 39s are awesome and a refit would be doable.. but - you’ve gotta be prepared to put the yards in. She has awesome lines and foam hulls… just the deck needs some love. Anyway, as you probably worked out he likely was insulted by your lowball offer and couldn’t be arsed responding further. Fair enough.

If you do go further as part of the negotiation I would absolutely want a qualified surveyor to go through the boat with a fine tooth comb. When you see rot that has not been addressed in my experience its just a small windowo into a boat that has not been maintained and will have further unseen issues. Don't be ruled by emotion.

    looks like a Crowther 45, i built a 40, Lock drew great boats but you are correct to understand that much more rot would reveal itself. I would guess that this was approx a 1980 build era, VERY similar to mine that is now in day charter in USA. Mine was airex hulls, awesome material but ply bulkheads and decks will be problematic after 40 years.
