HI I'm 2 years late. It looks as though you have not posted for quite a while. I suspect you won't see this post. I like what you have done. Your videos are clear and well done. I do want to encourage you. It seems your voice is getting lost or overlooked. There are a bunch of people putting out similar things now. Perhaps if you pulled all your posts. Then, simply re-post one a week, just as before. That is if you have time, patience, etc. At least they would have a more current date on them. Hopefully, you get more views. With AI getting popular, there may be a lot more people looking around for guidance. I'm going to look into that a little myself. For doing shorter things. It may prove useful. I don't want to get or make an AI written book, but it may make for a useful tool. I did look a little once before (editing). I am not sure that I can afford your, or for that matter, anyone's rates. That is NOT an attempt to get the price down. Just a fact. You have value. Don't give your skilled work for free. I will check again. I wish you luck.

What if the character is telling or narrating her own story though? For example, in a character bio that is not necessarily for a novel but for some other medium.

I'm British so imagine the differences you find in our country. We have a lot more dialects than you have in the states. Also kids talk different from adults. As a middle grade writer, I have to be aware of that.

Great video. I'm finishing a historical novel, (based on a true story) sending the manuscript to my publisher and editor at the end of this year. I used the whole listing of types of scenes as a checklist, what you've listed here strengthens my confidence that I've written a well-structured story on instinct. By the way, the book is in Dutch. Unless it becomes an overwhelming success, I guess there will be no English translation.
