So, i figured out a work around. First of all, i cant figure out the particles, but i fixed everything else(for the most part). Mobs wont look like theyre burning, but will still take damage. So first, change the splash potion to a lingering potion. Then make all entities with the bad luck effect get the wither effect. Fixed give command: give @p minecraft:lingering_potion{HideFlags:127,CustomPotionEffects:[{Id:27,Duration:400s,ShowParticles:0b}],CustomPotionColor:16564765,display:{Name:"{\"text\":\"Flare Bomb\",\"italic\":\"false\"}"},} Wither effect: execute if entity @e[nbt={ActiveEffects:[{Id:27}]}] at @e[nbt={ActiveEffects:[{Id:27}]}] run effect give @e[type=!player,nbt={ActiveEffects:[{Id:27}]}] minecraft:wither 5 1 true hope this helps. If it doesnt, let me know and i can try to see where i messed up. EDIT:still cant figure out particles. I geuss you could remove the part of the give command that hides the particles, and that would look kinda like flames. Otherwise, I'm stuck.

Make the fire work for the players

you can check if anyone has the effect and place fire under them, that shuld work, im going to test it now Edit: It worked! execute if entity @e[nbt={ActiveEffects:[{Id:27}]}] at @e[nbt={ActiveEffects:[{Id:27}]}] run setblock ~ ~ ~ fire replace

Something I forgot to mention in the video is that you should probably type "/gamerule sendCommandFeedback false" in the chat box in your world, or else the command blocks will spam your chat, and it's pretty annoying. Oh, and also, the commands are in the description if you want to copy them :) Edit: Another thing I forgot to mention is that you need to force load the chunk the command blocks are in for the potion to work globally. You can press F3+G to bring up chunk borders. Make sure you have all of the command blocks within one of the borders, and then, while standing in that same border, type "/forceload add ~ ~"
