Hey all, just wanted to create and share some video's with everyone. Hopefully you all will enjoy, and thanks for watching!

Another blast from the past vid. A couple of tunes (Queen of the Reich & We Rock) from a band I was in back in high school. Features Eric H. (guitar), Mark G. (bass), Greg V. (vocals), and Will A. (drums). Believe this was from around 1987. Wow, played these tunes super fast like we're on speed, probably my fault LOL!! Guess I was too hyped that night. Big thanks to Brian Hansen for filming these gigs back in the day, fun to watch and get a laugh out of all these years later.

A little blast from the past. Posting mainly for my own amusement. This clip of songs (Running with the Devil, Hot Blooded, Rock in America) from one of my high school bands called Matrix back from around 1985 or 1986. Most of us in the clip are around 15 to 16 years old and trying our best to emulate our heroes. Featuring Eric H (Jackson guitar), Dan F (Les Paul guitar), Mike T (P-bass), Jim G...

Classic Howard Stern '88 crotch on fire!
i swear my friends fed there rabbit carrots......do research online
.... where's that Henry and Nuge record?
It was about this time I saw them open for "Little Feat"... big mistake:)
I watch this every now and then.... never fails to get a laugh
Who else came here because of based Redditors advocating against carrots for rabbits?
I used to have this tape on vhs as I kid, well my parents did and i would watch this late at night lmfao
Oh man. This is ridiculous! Would you mind saying which model drumset that is? It sounds incredible. And it is almost 20 years old so prob affordable. And BTW you sound fantastic. It is absurd.
Thanks so much for the kind words. It's a Roland kit with the TD11 sound module. Don't remember the exact model name since I purchased it so long ago. Guessing it's somewhere between 10-12 yrs old now. Yeah, live in a townhouse now, so can't be blasting the neighbors out with an acoustic kit. I've owned a few electric kits through the years and Roland is always solid and on point. Not as many 'bells & whistles' as some other kits I've owned (Yamaha & Alesis), but has a number solid useable drum sounds.
AND STEVE MORSE!!!
DUDE! You aren't kidding! You actually like Bob! So excited!!!
damn i didnt know the suicide machines liked straight hardcore. gorilla biscuits and minor threat. w i love those bands and the suicide machines.
What are the song they played ?
Wooo!! Found another Bronx Style Bob, aka Bob Khaleel fan!!!
One of the best vocalists that will never get his due. Bronx Style Bob. Check out "Forbidden Love" and Khaleel "No Mercy" if you haven't already.
Yep, have both his solo albums, the early one before Super8, and the other one with No Mercy released a few years after. Bummed he hasn't released any other music since then as far as I know.
@@averagedrumguy6289 Dude. I want to find this guy. Apple Music says he did a cover of "Let Me Ride" on The Chronic 2011: A Tribute To The Songs Of Dr. Dre, but I have never actually heard him talk, so I have no idea if that is actually him rapping. l want a documentary on this guy. Edit: I can't believe that I actually found someone that know this guy. Love that so much. I honestly think that Everlast and Ice T are reachable artists that might have insight. (I'm also kind of worried about him and wouldn't want to bring up anything. One of my other favorite hip hop artists Kwest the Mad Ladd is off the radar a bit as an artist, but is also one of the best humans on Earth. I just get worried about how folks' lives have gone.)
David Rosenthal on keys?
re-load the video and get it in sync please. It's a drag to watch it like this.
So sorry, video must have glitched at some point within youtube because there was never any audio sync issues when it was uploaded years ago. Unfortunately, I no longer have any copies of this saved. Sucks, but pretty sure there must be other copies of this performance floating around on youtube. At some point I may try to download the vid from here and see if it's possible to re-sync the audio on some video editing software to fix.
This was when Henry's neck was at maximum thickness.
I have some of your photos
Cool! I'd like to check them out, feel free to share @ averagedrumguy@gmail.com. Thanks!!
Browsing through the record bins at Tower Records one day way, waaaayyyyy, waaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy back in the late 70s and came across "What If". Eventually I found myself down at the old Golden Bear to see them live a couple of times. My only critique is that they tended to play a tad excessively here and there.
I was BLESSED, & I mean BLESSED to see Super 8 twice on their tour with Fishbone. What a magical time to witness such power from Bronx Style Bob. I've been a fan since the Rhyme Syndicate days, kept up with him in his solo rap days, then when he went this direction with Super 8 & even Khaleel. I periodically check in just to see if Bob has gifted us with another album, but sadly it's been far too long.
That whole show used to be on yt, what happened? One of his freakin best ever
Very cool never saw this one. Want to see the Uncle Floyd episode with the dregs on it

Lol... average drum guy...are you eric, the pilot, sir?
No sir, I am not. 😂There is a gentleman that goes by @eskee1 & is named Eric that commented on this video a few years back. He may be the real deal. 🤔He clarified the type of plane and also corrected Henry on the cap he was wearing.
We could only hope it was in fact, Eric. But I do appreciate not only this video but your timely response, as well. But as a drummer timing is your life...
People in OK do drink V8. It’s like the 80s out there
SADIE WOULD NEVER EAT DEAD PRAY 🙏.

Did anyone else hear this stand up bit on a cd you got with the trespassers game?
Amazing grunge anthem..grungy downtunned guitars..brenden o brien pulled out a gem..beats all other bands hands down
Just recently looked into Henry Rollins. Had no idea as to his actual presence on the media!
I’ve been a fan of his since ‘92 or so… he is an amazing dude
I was just checking out Grove OK. There are two "Goodfella's Pizzeria's. Less than a block away. In a town with only one open gas station.
part of the test for a pilots license is landing on a dirt road. Make fun of "Eric the pilot" all you want but he has more balls than most ever will.
b l o o d
Comedy is his calling. If they get the woman.... whats the problem? You want Dark and Brutal? Write songs about trains
“First gig in the tour im gonna fucking kill everyone” “I have not said a word yet. My head comes down, my knee comes up, BAAM knocked my ass out in front all of em”😂😂
Envy is....... not necessary
😆
Seen Rollins in the 1st lollapalooza. Spent the last 30 yrs thinking he had a personality or substance. My had.
great musicians making horrible music
Oh how i miss those days! This band had everything to be huge if only a few years earlier.
he did this story on his last spoken word tour.
I was lucky to see them at a discotheque in Columbus, Ohio in ~June, 1980. I stood about 5 feet from Steve Morse all the time, and was able to shake his hand during intermission. I still say that was the most fulfilling concert I've ever been to. Back then, I anxiously waited for every Dregs album release and was in the record store on the exact day.
Steve was always so cut and in shape it's unbelievable. It must have helped him playing live. EVH was the same way what gives?
I’m addicted to Henry Rollins’ stories, just as much as the first 2 Black Flag records
nervous breakdown and Jealous again?
@@stevegilmore2093 those are EPs, I should’ve been more specific and say albums
@@mannyvelizofficial Albums, Ep’s, Compilations, all of Black Flags stuff from 78’-84’ are gold
@@stevegilmore2093 Ik, I love a lot of that stuff
@@mannyvelizofficial My favorite is the “Everything Went Black” compilation. Because it has the first 3 singers and each one has distinctive, and original vocals and their early stuff I think is the best and most kick ass
Wow, this guy's pretty funny, I wonder what else he's done.
I wonder if Henry is still as head-up-ass first-world-problems little bitch as he was in the nineties. I appreciate the pathetic attempt at re-doing that decades long trope of "this is what sucks about flying," you didn't do anything different or better
How am I the one and only like???
I don't like those little planes. I'll fly in the big ones all day but the little ones kill musicians. I'm surprised Henry agreed. And it's not just Lynyrd Skynyrd and Buddy Holly. The list is longer than you might think and it's usually that situation. They have to be at a gig, they can't get a flight (usually because the weather is bad) so they charter one of those tiny planes. So if ever you're on tour and you for some reason you can't get a flight on an airline, maybe just eat it this time.
Yeah, if you haven’t heard the story of how Randy Rhoads died, it’s heartbreaking. And bizarre.
@@dingdongism Actually no. Now that you mention it I don't know that story. I'll search it up. You're right that is bizarre. Crazy.
So then, Average Drumguy.... you lost your pilot's license?
