It's very sad for gay bi-nationals who are forced apart from the one they love due to immigration laws that are only for heterosexuals! ie: in most countries homosexuals are not allowed the same immigration rights as heterosexuals and therefore can not bring their loved one into the country.
As much as you might want to deny it, its for a lot of gay people (I am guessing) more than hetero people. I don't think this movie will make anyone's live sad, but is just a representation of things that happen
I did not understand this movie very well until I read the comments. This is why movies should last longer than ten minutes. Especially this one. I wish they had a little more dialogue or time.
It's very nicely made and it is a pity that the Aus Gov didn't approve his move. My Czech boyfriend had no trouble, and my former partner (also Aus) had no trouble with his Thai boyfriend. So I don't know what this Georgian guy did wrong. Nevertheless, it's a beautifully made film, but as others have written here, the narrative is a tad opaque.
One had been approved to remain by the Immigration dept, the other not. Not quite sure how he ended p in a wheelchair at the end - perhaps he tried commiting suicide by jumping off the bridge but survived .....
Well that was a waste of 8 min odd. There was no story to it . Why was he in a wheelchair ? Why the bridge ? and where's Wally ?
Why is he in a wheel chair? What does the bridge have 2 do with anything? I got the rest of it.
I think he tried to jump before.

i think that way too, why they make it difficult, move or visit each other is also another option.
I wasn't saying we are, I'm saying that's how we are percieved in most media.
great protrayal of how tragedy is built into all gay people and that we're doomed to live a sad existance. this isn't helpful to our cause.
Sad stuff..

In this case, Lucas, if you jump off the bridge, be sure next time to jump properly.
That murdered my good mood.
the Australian Govt causes another tragedy apart from that great film
No wonder.
troppo triste e lento per i miei gusti.
Wow, what a powerful piece. I like the fact that it wasn't laced with sex.

That's what I figured, that he tried jumping to his death but survived.

Well, that was depressing.
Wow :'(, what an amazing short film it was
