Question about WhatsApp. Is it necessary for business? Thank you.
Hi from Mackinaw😊
Hello!
I appreciate how clear and concise you are thank you
You are so welcome! Glad I could help!
Perfect, thanks a lot! I have been looking for this forever...
You're welcome!!
This doesn't work for reel likes...
Works for us! Anyone who interacts with any content can be invited with Meta business suite.
Etsy banned 95% of my handmade items despite lots of sales because of new adult product ban.
I'm so sorry to hear that happened to you! I've heard some really bad stories about Etsy lately and no longer recommend them. It's really going downhill.
Hello from the NW Chicago burbs
Hello back!!

17:38 Ditto 😅
15:02 Rebuilding is a good thing hun! If a website is not being enhanced every week -- month -- year -- it is definitely going to fail! It is not wasted time -- it is evolution, marketing and SEO.
14:10 Oh -- this is not great. Major flaw building and engaging with an audience outside of your own website. Losing out sooooo much free SEO and branding authority.
12:24 This is just another reason for a crafter not to jump online -- as you said, not even on Shopify. This seems more of a “5 mistakes crafters make while trying to sell online” than a “5 reasons not to choose Wix”. In the end, the only opinion I can agree with is Wix has unethical ad placements with unrealistic promises---- but that’s almost every ad out there.
11:10 Exactly. You don’t know what you don’t know.
10:22 To be fair though, you are comparing a store builder (Shopify) to a website builder (Wix). It would be great to see a comparison between Shopify store builder to another store builder like Ecwid, Sellix, Sellfy, Squareup (by Square payment processor), etc. OR compare it to Wix Stores app which is an actual store builder, not Wix as a platform.
9:12 😂😂 I love this explanation. 😅
7:02 Agreed -- having a following helps increase sales! IF the following is genuine. If someone begs for followers-- all the they will have are followers out of pity NOT likely to be followers that turn into paying customers.
3:47 All you did was state a reason why a crafty person shouldn’t build their own website, not relevant to Wix specifically.
Reason 1, is because Wix gives you too much freedom so your site looks like a mess? 😂 So pick a template. Stick to the template. Hire a professional.
Then why say it? Just do it 😂
I can do both 🤣
@handmadesuccesssecrets if it's for you then do it for you and not announce for everyone 😂
So I uploaded a reel and it shows on my news feed is there w way to turn it off on my news and to only post on reelz
Reels are delivered in both newsfeeds and the "reels" feed. You'll see a reel you posted on the account you posted it to but you may also see reels you posted to a business page on your personal account. That does not mean your friends and family are seeing it, it's just you. There is no way to control how FB delivers it. Does that help?
@handmadesuccesssecrets ok yes thank you
@@pimpinlucky1 you're welcome!
Thank you so much for sharing that, I really needed to know that!!
You're so welcome!!
Some wonderful information. Thank you. However, please realize your perceived IQ goes way down when you can't pronounce simple words, like et cetera. It's NOT excetra or eksetra.
Thank you for your concern. I've been saying it the way I say it for 45 years now and you're the first to say anything about it. The info I share makes handmade sellers more money even if I mispronounce a word. I'm ok with it :)
@@handmadesuccesssecrets If you're going to be an influencer, why would you want to influence people to sound uneducated? The fact you know it and do it anyway shows your ignorance to the affect your 'teachings' might have.
@@radutheimpaler62 ok :)
Hi!
I couldn't attend live last night, but thanks for emailing the links I can save it to view later.
So happy to make the replay available to you! Enjoy!
Should I put prices on the picture or on the post or not at all?
Not at all! Leave it off and tempt people into asking you :)
Thank you for saving me a lot of time!
You're welcome!!
This is really good information. I just noticed the other day when I posted some coasters I made. I will look into doing a Reel. What type of content works best on a Reel? Behind the scenes type? Others?
For reels I like how it's made and "show and tell" best! Show and tell is simply showing them the product and doing a voice over talking about the product.
Etsy HAS NO competition. GoImagine is a waste of time. Poorly put together, home page is a disappointment. The whole site is a disappointment. They have alot of balls... It's like a Chinese Finger Trap for your personal information. And they throw out this tag line of "helping the children". I'm suspicious.
You saved my life... At least you saved me many hours!!!
Love this!! Glad I was able to help!
How would you take videos every day for a candle/skincare business? I do a lot of single photo posts on Facebook already but the videos and reels tend to get better reach
I would simply show and tell product. Show the product in a video and do a voice over telling viewers about it. Also "how it's made" videos are great!
Is this for Facebook or Instagram, or both?
This is for Facebook
I am migrating to goimagine and their Mosaic website service. I think it can be pretty powerful space if more of us sellers will join and drive more traffic in. ETSY!!!! I am sick and tired of having to compete with cheap stuff from China on Etsy and then having my business suspended when Asian sellers steal my original pictures and make knock offs. Support on Etsy is horrible - I have waited 6 weeks to get generic copy pasted reply that did not solve anything - they basically told me to go and chase other platforms to take down my original stollen pictures. Handmade on Etsy is dying fast.
Took a look, this is a nice niche crafter's advertising platform. This could drive business to ANY handmade seller's site. Very cool!
Im wondering how Go Imagine is going to deal with someone using a Disney branded Embroidery machine to make items for sale rather than personal. That usually triggers a Disney law suit. And I want to know ALL of the charities Go Imagine donated to. Are there immigrant unaccompanied children encouraging charities involved? Do sellers get a tax deduction for these contributions, or does the company get that? Split that?
I would highly recommend you reach out to GoImagine with those questions! I'm sure they can help you with the answers :)

It would’ve been great if the video was actually about Goimagine vs Etsy instead of Goimagine vs Small Shop Discovery. Change the title.
Is there a link for small shop discovery
I like having sales tax taken care of by GI. Also, I think the charity focus is attractive to sellers and buyers. Keeping all of the non-handmade stuff out and really artist focused is such a rare thing these days. I mean why did we train AI to take over art of all things? It's valuable to have an advocate out there for makers. Especially small shops.
Great info, thank you
I think people forget that Etsy is 19 years old and goimagine has only been around for four years. It takes a while to build a site/business. Etsy may give more customers, but they take more too. They have a lot of restrictions I don't like which is why I signed up with goimagine. Right now I am not making sales as I am not promoting until I have my custom URL set up.
Hi, I just signed up with GI first let me thank you for your thoughts. I stumbled on this video accidentally. I sell on Etsy, Amazon Handmade and have my own website. I am a company of 1 with occasional help from my grandkids. Everything I make myself and as such offer limited quantities. I am optimistic with GI and for the minimal fee I am willing to take a chance. We shall see. I am also interested in learning about Small Shop Discovery which you mention here, I like what you're saying in this video. Although GI does focus on it's charity support I try to live a Karmic life (this was the hook) what reeled me in was its goal to keeping out non handmade and POD items and it is strictly for USA makers and artists.
Yes keep them darn foreigners out /s
Hi, I see you made this post a while ago. How has GI gone for you?
@@cm1756 Hi, well better late than never. I actually made a sale on GI which I was thrilled but in all honesty being a sole maker I'm finding it hard to maintain, work and promote the GI site, Etsy and Amazon. I'm trying to find a strategy to do all 3 channels and I can't even think about my own website. I am still learning, still hopeful.
How do i set up a laptop to do a livr. Ty
Why do i not see any posts on line to buy handmade products?
It could be that you are not following pages that sell handmade products :)
