    Having a full time job (at a company) that has benefits like healthcare coverage and a 401K (and company match) are exactly that...if an accident occurs the costs to you are minimal and with a 401K match, its like receiving "free" money. I had an accident and needed knee surgery, which was outpatient (no hospital stay). When I looked at the medical benefit bill, it was over $65k. I only had to make a $200 deductible for the surgery because the healthcare insurance covered the rest of the cost of the surgery. As far as the 401K plan, I received 80% company match on my contributions to my 401K (up to 6% of my salary). These are things that you must consider before you quit your job. Of course, there are LOTs of negatives for working for a company, so you should weigh all of those positives and negatives before making the decision to leave your job.

    • @ApprenticeDiary

    Have you ever thought of quitting your 9-to-5 job? How close are you from doing so?

  • @socalgsr1
    @socalgsr1 วันที่ผ่านมา

    I was earning $8k a month in profit from my side hustle while only making $3k from my 9-5 job, but I still didn’t quit. I wasn’t ready yet. Instead, I focused on paying off all my loans, including my mortgage. After 15 years of working my 9-5, I finally felt ready to leave and focus on building more businesses. Now, with two businesses, I’m making $12k in profit each month, and my goal is to reach $20k in profit within the next two years. I believe it's easier to scale a business than a 9-5 job. While I was working my day job, I averaged around $3k-$4k a month, and even after 15 years, my income barely changed. Now, with my businesses, I have the ability to scale and grow, which allows me to increase my profits significantly. Btw great topics . You always have great video ideas . Keep it up !

    • @ApprenticeDiary
      @ApprenticeDiary วันที่ผ่านมา

      Agree, having a job is more restrictive than running your own business. However, it is much safer to test your business idea and execute on them while holding a job to ensure we have the basic taken care of. Congratulations on your businesses! It's better to take things slow and ensure you feel ready for the next step. If you can do it having a job, you can definitely skyrocket your business when you quit. Thanks for sharing your journey!

      #yolo unless they started a side hustle while in school and have validated the feasibility of the business... then I think it's better to just hold a job and get a taste of it. Some people might find it enough to live by. Some others will take the opportunity to build stuff on the side and validate the business before quitting.

    I genuinely appriciate your hard work to do a bussiness beside your job. However, I do not find any profit to people and to the society who buy these products. Maybe they could have bought it earlier at a more reasonable price (Now they pay more for no added value). I imagine if there got to be more similar bussinesses and products are sold at a higher rate, what will happen to people, who are not sellers and are in producing or in community service sector (e.g. teachers, nurses, housebuilders, etc). This party will face harder work with less ability to buy goods, they are deserved to purchase fairly.

    • @ApprenticeDiary
      @ApprenticeDiary วันที่ผ่านมา

      Definitely understand your point... but by the time we go to buy them... they have been sitting in the shelf for months as they are marked as clearance because the retail stores need to get rid of them. Walmart, Target, every single retail store are selling the items marked up for normal ppl to buy and you would not even notice it. Not all resellers mark up the price, we mostly sell at market price by finding discount through couponing, sales, etc... It's supply and demand too. Basic economy. It's how society function and we all need to find a way to do so. You can definitely go now and stock up on whatever essentials you need at the store.

    I have a question, since I saw you answering everyone. I am just starting, I live in Europe, Netherlands and I want to start a business with framed artwork I develope myself, but I wanted to reach the US market. The AWD is the same as FBA? For example, is it possible for me to buy take my storage, put in US Storage (AWD for example) so my costumers in the US receive my goods faster? I am really trying to understand more about this market so I can start my business. Do you indicate AWD?

    • @ApprenticeDiary
      @ApprenticeDiary 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      For that, I will probably do print on demand. I have a few videos on this coming up in the next month or too. Exactly for my Ai art work side hustle. You dont need to be bound to the USA but for tax purposes you might need to have an LLC here. Better to consult with a CPA in the USA who could work with international clients.

    • @CanalDesenhando
      @CanalDesenhando 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The problem about print on demand is that your profit margins are consumed about 80%. That´s why I got interested in warehousing in different locations like USA, UK and Europe. Don´t you think it´s better to store in a third part AWD like amazon to sell it to costumer cross borders?

    I'm 68. Started from zero 4 years ago with a 401K and have $114K now. I did not get serious about contributing to it until the second year. This shows that it is never to late to start. There is nothing magical about $100K. It does look good on paper though for a great start.

      It is never too late. Just need to start building that habit early to reap the benefits of compounding interest.

    Aren't you a MIT grad? Assume you have high paying job, based upon having MIT degree. Why post YT videos? Lots of effort, low-brow activity.

    • @ApprenticeDiary
      @ApprenticeDiary 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Exactly why I made the video. MIT grad does not mean high paying job. Not everyone get a six figure right off the bat.

      @@ApprenticeDiary I only watched one of your videos, where you started Amazon selling business. Looking at your other video titles, you’ll likely have financial freedom at a young age. Good for you. (and hello from Belmont, MA)
