What kinda hp this beast making?
What’s the maximum horsepower that a stock block 5.0 Fox body Mustang engine can handle before it starts to crack or blow up?
What was setup here and how much spray ?
The 302 is a tuff lil powerplant u can squeeze a lot of hosses 🐎 out of..
The Fairmont is such a cool 😎 lil foxbody lol..
How much spray
This is how my dad and his buddy built their 302s and 289s. Get huge torque and HP . Huge power. Quarter mile would be in the 7s to 8s. Wicked
You gonna do something about Grandpa Hollywood taking that SBE record?
Kicking ass 🤦🐐
What firing order are you running? Standard 1-3? Have heard some opinions that the 1-5 firing order hammers the front main leading to the well documented block cracking and splitting.
Yes, I’m running the 13726548 order
Really dope car 👏🏼💪🏼
It is gonna split in two soon!
I think your head is going to split
Ben head is a great guy! He tuned my mach 1. Is this your car?
Good lord!! I wander what it could do in the quarter..
Looks like low 10s in the qm
@@HansBelphegor way faster lol. 5.0 in the 8th is a 7 in the 1/4
5.00 1-8th mile in a small tire, turbo car would most likely be in the 7.80’s.
Street outlaws killa in 302. That’s awesome man, 👍🏻 to get that 302 to move like that very impressive
Why not just use lsx block that will never break?
Never?
Never break a record
Everytime there is a small Ford on here that would run with the much larger LSx some you chevy guys have so little respect and class you spew out put an ls in it, Grow up.
Then no one would give a shit.
would this be the 255 v8 block because I understand they are the same family but different bore
westleybates 20 this is a 1968 302 block, it’s a 4.042” bore with a 3” stroke
Amazing! Did you drill out the 7/16” 302 main bolt holes for 1/2” 351-W main studs to help eliminate main cap walk? I bet you guys have won a lot of races. So consistent. Awesome job!
john hoyt just using 7/16 studs and a main girdle. We won a handful this year, thanks!
@@mustang67200 which main girdle?
Anthony Kelly we used a moroso steel girdle
Aftermarket internals? Or completely stock block
Aftermarket internals, stock block
Those vintage cougars are so fast sad that most of them were crushed
Why?
@@mercurylincoln755 because most of them were parted out for classic mustangs especially in the '80s and 90s.
I think most stock block racers have proven that tuning and controlling the harmonics is what makes them last. Ugly Kid, Chris Watson and now Mr. Miller. Congratulations on the 4👍
Man that is crazy. Congrats
What? Someone besides Ugly kid has the fastest stock block? Surely a sign of the apocalypse.
Block filled?
Bryan Sage its half filled
Doesn't he use stock explorer short blocks ?
Bryan Roupe I’ve used explorer shortblocks in the past, this isn’t one though.
Awesome runs!! Very proud of you!!
Care to share specs on this build?
67 mustang ?
Couldn't see the numbers. Was it in the 12's?
Damn 11.32 in motor that’s pretty good
tanks 4 the feedback keep posting
nice any suggestions of wat yr 351w to get for a budget build?
Francisco Huerta mine was a 74, the 74 and earlier blocks are supposed to be a little stronger, but if your not planning to make more than 600hp or so any year should be fine
wats all done 2 the mustsng
Francisco Huerta back then it was just a 10:1 .030 over 351 with a little hydraulic roller cam and a set of afr 185s. The car has changed a lot over the years. Lol
wats all done motor wise n wat stall
what are the cam specs?
275/60 drag radial
What size tire is that?
That's awesome I hope I can eventually get my car to be that badass
I want to think Mark and Cord for posting this video.
yep
Thanks, in this video it had a 351w in it, now it has a 393w.
I love you,re 67 Mustang what motor you running.
Looks like the neon ran a low 13. They have horrible traction I use to have one lol. Mine went 12.6 @ 120 at tulsa years ago.
Yes, it has caltracs on it.
@stormystang Yep, the trick is you have to have an air conditioned carb... lol.
What you got on there a 75 hp dry kit. Lol It looks pretty quick for that hot dry air in south mexico!
@Davidmay303 I never had it on an engine dyno, but I'd guess around 425-450.
@Davidmay303 Thanks
@stormystang Yep!!
@Davidmay303 With this setup it made 355 rwhp and 440 ftlbs.
