Caught a stout southwesterly approaching Lakeport.

Nice westerly winds with gusts to 20 mph, setting up some cool wave action.

The boat is Zin Syr (think wine) and she handled a stout afternoon blow just fine.

Filmed this right as a wildfire was breaking out in Scotts Valley, northwest of Lakeport, and right before a smaller fire was reported in Nice. Two larger regional fires north and south of Lake County added to the haze.

NWS correctly predicts wind gusts over 20 mph. I incorrectly predict my ability to ride them. Thank you, #MacGregor25, for keeping me safe.

Couple of old salts brave a gusty day on Clear Lake, Calif. Tried to catch a glimpse of Buckingham Test and Tune show but the wind had other ideas. #MacGregor25 on main only is not ideal for rapid wind shifts, but she hit 5 knots easily on the straightaways.
