Omaha Tornado damage 4-26-2024
Located between 204th and 216th streets between Maple and State Streets. Multiple tornadoes touched down during the late afternoon and early evening of April 26th 2024. This is some of the damage that happened on the north side of Elkhorn Nebraska, a western suburb of Omaha.

SCRATCH BUILT 1/3 SCALE NEUPORT 29 MAIDEN FLIGHT. BUILT AND FLOWN BY BRIAN PETERSON OF PLATTESMOUTH NEBRASKA, FLOWN AT THE WESTERN RC FLYERS HOME FIELD JUST SOUTH OF MEAD NEBRASKA ON AUGUST 27TH 2023. THE PLANE IS POWERED BY A SAITO FG90R3 ENGINE. (90CC 3 CYLINDER RADIAL FOUR STROKE)

Video recorded at WRCF Funfly in Mead Nebraska 6-17-2023 filmed using a GoPro mounted facing rearward on fuselage of Sig Rascal 168 inch wingspan, smoke provided by Sullivan Skywriter smoke pump, smoke oil by B&B specialties pumped into mufflers of a DLE 120cc twin cylinder gasoline engine.

Flying at the field on a beautiful day. Mid flight the engine died but made it safely to the ground. No damage.

Was flying today at the field when I noticed this little guy sitting in the middle of the runway. When I started filming he proceeded to trot right over towards us and nearly jump onto my buddy's feet. He then walked over and hung out under his vehicle for nearly an hour.

Ziroli Corsair retractable tail-wheel test

mounted and glassed the retractable tail wheel into the fiberglass fuselage. Hooked up pneumatic lines for testing.

What a shame. I have 2 150's. One on floats, and the other on wheels. The one on floats has around 40 flights, ad the one on wheels has well over 100. It is a great flying airplane in both categories. I do know depth perception can suck. Sorry for your mishap, but it did look very repairable.

Yeah, that little engine is a real gem. AND it's adorable. Almost wish I'd have kept it. : (
Scott Kuhn I have it on 3 airplanes and I can very comfortably say it is my favourite engine. I’ve visited Saito’s factory a month ago and I was told that this engine is going back on shelves in 2019

Dude, that sucks! It just flew into the ground. Was it a radio problem?
I wish I knew, just stopped responding to input. That's the third aircraft that I have lost in the last month to a similar scenario. Has to be transmitter/receiver related but how do I test for that?
Ouch that's too bad (I crashed my 40 size Escapade glow powered plane an hour ago)
t6vim12 yeah, it's never any fun when you loose them.
Was a $50 swap meet plane so I'll put another one together probably; was it's first flight under my control.
I laid down a Hangar 9 Cessna 182 last fall on it's maiden under my ownership. I had it in the air for about 9 seconds when a ridiculous crosswind came up and the Cessna rolled over on it's back in a heartbeat and splattered onto the field. I was heart broken, thank God it was also an auction purchase and I got a SMOKIN' deal on it, otherwise....

Yeah it's a good spot! Except for the Far North East corner of the soccer fields. There is some sort of interference or something, that corner devours aircraft. I lost my Zagi there last Thursday and still haven't found it.
