Wa alaykum asalam sister. Dar ul Eiman Grand is a nice clean hotel. It will take you, with the kids, approx 15 mins easily to walk to the gate of the masjid. This is the only downside with the hotel. Also there are many shops near the hotel you can go to for food. So if your children can walk 15-20 mins that this will be fine - but not during the summer, winter would be better. One could possibly rent a vehicle, but I am not sure. Never had the need to and unless you are confident I would advise against driving in Saudi. Hotels will have their own parking. But many will not. There are no parking areas near the haram.

You are not allowed to perform umrah during the Hajj season. However you can travel before the month of Hajj. Hajj 2020 will commence end of July, so if you travel towards end of June and return first week of July - then possible.

Thank you for reaching out brother. No, for the tourist visa there are no compulsory vaccinations stipulated. However, part of the E visa is that you also get medical cover. But I would still get myself vaccinated for ease of mind.

@@go_haramain6071 sorry i just re read your message and would like to mention that health insurance comes as part of the new tourist visa (all included in the fee). About the vaccination, yes it is not required to obtain the visa but i am not so sure if you are required to produce it to the airport officials upon arrival. Unfortunately the Saudi Embassy website does not include any information regarding this and so i would advise people to be on the safe side and just get the vaccination until there is solid information from the relevant authorities in regards to this matter.

@@tariq0513 No vaccination certificate is asked for. However, it is highly recommended to vaccinate yourselves and thus produce a certificate IF required.
