Could you run this advant leg fairing with forward controls?
Not sure how that would work. I’d ask them
How's the Thunder header holding up? I really want that pipe so bad, but I heard it ages very fast. After a few months,
It's alright. I have put a thunderheader on pretty much every bike I've owned for the last 15 years. They've improved the mounting bracket for this model, which was much needed. Other than that, the quality/finish can be not so good. This one is alright. Sounds great though.
How's the Thunder header holding up? I heard they age really fast. That's the pipe I wanted
When is a new video coming out? Love this bike. It’s exactly how I’m gonna build mine. I plan on buying the same year same color here soon.
We're they hard to install ?
@@FXLRST513 really easy. No cuts to wires or mods to mounts, etc. ~20min
@pauldenton9568 I'm afraid, I won't be able to put the fairing back together...
I gonna get 'em .... They look great !
Is that the X series thunderheader.
@@johnbrock890 it is the x series.
Sounds great 😮
@@glennsawyer3283 thanks!
What side covers are you running ? Thanks man
Advanblack
Did you change the stock bushings? I see that some people do.
I did. Gooden tites from alloy art. I typically change them out every time i change risers
Where did you get the fork tubes? Are they 43mm or 49mm?
43. Diamond lane cycles
Which black did you go with for the wheels? That’s on my list too.
Hi, I noticed you had crash bars on your bike in some of your previous videos and I just wanted to ask if you’ve made any attempt to modify the hardware included in this lower fairing kit to make it fit? Judging from just the Advanblack installation video, I was thinking of measuring the thickness of the bracket for the Bung King crash bars and subtracting it from the thickness of the included spacers - and also the same process with any bolts that would have to be mounted through the crash bar bracket. Thanks!
Advanblack addresses this in their instructions and provides hardware for bikes with crash bars. Not all crash bars will fit. Mine did not, but they were not bung king. Good luck.
@@pauldenton9568 Can I ask what was the obstacle you encountered while trying to install it with crash bars? I am still unsure why that would be the case since Advanblack showcased a grey motorcycle that had a crash bar on.
@@infamous8616mine didn’t fit. sorry man I’d call them to help. Good luck.
Looks rally good! 💥
As an update for those that care- I have experienced some buffeting with these at 85+ mph. It’s not that bad, just a bit of a weird feeling at higher speeds. Didn’t lead me to slow down or hesitate in any way, but noticeable.
Nice! Installing mine today. 🎉
Is this compatible with the HD mustache engine guard?
I would ask the manufacturer. Assuming no
@@pauldenton9568 It probably will not fit, and maybe even the flat out bar...I am just worried, one slip and I would hate to even think of what will happen...however it looks very sharp, even better looking than the CVO/ST...lol thanks for sharing
Thanks for posting this. Literally just installed the same on my ‘24 Vivid Black ST on 8/26. Great high quality product, paint is actually better than OEM on mine (less orange peel). They do reduce wind volume overall but add a small amount of buffeting to certain areas of your ankle/shin. Nothing bad. I haven’t noticed any extra heat retained after putting 150 miles on the bike in 4 days.
can you explain the front process? did you just buy the dlc fork tubes and send it to GP? How much was it total with GP + DLC?
Does this deflect any heat or contain it
Still a significant amount of airflow around the frame and motor. I do not feel a difference in temp.
Hows the wind deflection on it? Or is more a looks thing? Im thinking about getting some for the winter help keep some wind off me
Very little wind deflection
Looks like they should have been on there all along 👍🏻. Do they get in the way of shifting at all? Looks like you’ve got quite a bit of room there?
No clearance issue for brake lever or shifter.
Is this the colour Gunship grey?
Yes
Love my advanblack st fairing on my 23 fxlrs but personally not a fan of the lowers. Keep up with the great videos.
Those look bad ass
Does that cam feel nice just for cruising around as well? Not necessarily feeling like you have you to be getting on the throttle all the time.
@@HeyNoah I think it does- but anything is an upgrade over stock. My first M8 so I don’t have much to compare to. I will say the mid range (I believe you’d call it) seems nice.
what kind clutch and break levers are those ? thank you
They are a generic brand, believe I ordered from deadbeat customs.
@@pauldenton9568 thank you
Bike looks great bro !
Thanks!
Your bike is 🔥🔥🔥. Just picked up a 2024 billiard gray ST. Did the 9.5 thrashin. Bassani shows up today. I’m digging the 30/30 cam sound. Might be next.
Ride the same bike here in Miami. I rode Mendocino last year and rented a bmw 1200GS. It was an amazing area to ride in even though I was freezing 🥶 lol 40s and 50s the whole time. 😂
That's cool, I've rode a few BMWs up there as well. One of my favorite parts of the state.
How do you like the darker windshield? Going from the smoke to the dark ? And how is it at night ?
I like it. Have had a few, seems to be fine at night for me.. but at night I’m usually on the interstate or city street, might make a difference out in the country, not sure, it’s been a while. You can see in the video how transparent it is. Was late afternoon/evening.
@@pauldenton9568 cool thanks man for the information about everything
How tall are you , not sure if I should get the XL or L windshield, I’m 6 1”
5’10” and have an XL. Seems good
Did you do the rear?
Yes- JRI shock.
Thus far, tasteful mods... Even in the simplest of things as covering unnecessary branding even if minuscule. Suspension gives it a different stand, and the ⚡️is 🔥.
Thanks
What kind of gas milage are you getting after the cam install? Very nice bike!!!
Where did you get the chrome saddlebag emblem?
Harley sells them. They were on their Sport Glide. You can order them at the dealership or online from their site. PN 14000267
Was there a difference (feel) with a 2” up (1” rear) in the front turning or cornering?
Just adds clearance. Can’t say I scraped before, just felt and looked low. Now feels more like some of the other bikes I’ve had previously. I also like highway cruising a bit higher as well.
@@pauldenton9568 thanks for the reply. Bike is in the shop, FXR Division, getting some work (suspension, black tubes, and RC19 Brembo master cylinder). FXR Division has some Paul Yaffe turn signal brackets that create a cleaner look. Dig the powder coat black wheels and push rods. Nice touch.
Hey Paul! Thanks for sharing, the bike is looking great! I'm looking to get the same kit for my Softail Fat Bob. I believe these exact same parts fit the Fat Bob. I noticed a slight pattern design difference in the outer blade between the front and rear rotors. I initially thought that was due to the different sizes (11.8" and 11.5"), but when I search for the part numbers online I see variations between the two patterns. Galfer's website shows the one you have in the rear rotor for both sizes, while everywhere else seems to have the other option for both sizes. Do you happen to know why they are different?
Thanks Tiago. Good call out as I didn’t even notice that the rear was slightly different. Seems to have a little teardrop shape that the front rotors do not have. I sourced the rear and front from different places, so probably just my oversight, not sure why else they would be different. Since the shape is the same and the pattern is close I’m going to roll with it.
Needs some black brembo m4s 😅
What rear suspension are you running? How level does your frame sit with the rear suspension and +2 GP's upfront. Thinking about going this route.
Looks fairly level. 13.5” JRI shock.
@@pauldenton9568 I appreciate it man. She is sick!
what rear pegs do you have?
I believe they are just the standard Harley rubber covered ones.
Brembo brakes front and rear would be sick
Heard a lot good things about the 3030 cam. How much hp and torque did you gain after. ?
Didn’t test before, unfortunately.
Thrashin triple trees …
Bike is fuckin badass
Dmr mids on it would be sick
How is the closed vent compared to the open?
I thought the vent felt a bit weird and added noise. It definitely could just be me or just in my head. I was also testing the Rockford speakers and felt that it was harder to hear/distorted.
@@pauldenton9568 I will try it with the vent closed, is your XL?
@@Elmuchacho17 I believe this is the large. Not sure but I think they released the XL after I had ordered this
Sounds good at idle! It could be a little more responsive when wacking the throttle with either more compression or more timing at low rpm’s!
I wonder what that 30-30 sounds like?

@@pauldenton9568 very nice
When you went +2 what junction block did you use for the new brake lines and abs lines?
I believe we kept the block and ordered custom upper and lower lines from Magnum. Done that a few times and they are good.
