Labor Day Hike at Devil's Den!
On this trip, I headed out for a quick day hike with some friends from the church. We hope you enjoy this quick episode!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
An Arkansas icon, this special place nestled in Lee Creek Valley was selected as a state park site in the 1930s. The Civilian Conservation Corps used native materials to build the park’s rustic-style wood and stone structures that mirror the surrounding natural beauty. It now stands as one of the most intact CCC sites in the U.S., with a legacy you can see in its trails and buildings like its original cabins. Some of the park’s unique characteristics are rock formations and caverns. An impressive rock dam spans Lee Creek forming Lake Devil, an 8-acre lake for fishing and boating with canoes and pedal boats for rent. The park’s hiking, backpacking, mountain bike, and horseback riding trails lead to the surrounding Ozark National Forest.
Devil’s Den includes 17 cabins with kitchens and fireplaces and 9 camper cabins. The park also offers 135 campsites (44 Class AAA, 24 Class D [no hookups], 8 bike-in [tent only], and 25 sites with hookups in the horse camp that includes a bathhouse and access to the horse trails). The park’s cafe is open seasonally. The pool is open in summer only. Also on-site is a group camp, standard pavilion, store, and a meeting room.

Well good thing I order a jackery 600 plus 😂😂😂😂
Can you actually attatch the metal arm to the cookstove and hook up the propane, is there enough room on the shelf?
@@teachingbeats yes! It worked better for me to turn my grill around the opposite direction and then it worked perfect if you are using the green bottles. If you are using a hose for your stove for your propane then you can do it either way 👍
I have all of them ⚡️⚡️⚡️👍
370 bucks it looks cheap and you have to completely assemble. Trace all the pieces and sell the plans for 5 bucks lol
It is definitely not original since it has no dmg which is so lucky
Good catch!

Why not say "SOG has serious quality control issues"?
Fortunately I have been into "The Way of EDC" since the early 2000’s. Even though many EDC pundits did not like the Leatherman Juice series, I bought a couple each of the S2, CS4, and XE6. I saw a good sale on a Chinese site & bought a couple of the SOG PowerPints & PowerLitres as I am a believer in EDC Kits which I keep in my Bags (Backpack, Shoulderbags (AKA Messenger Bags), Sling Bags, and a Waist Pack). Yes, the SOG Power series pliers are good, but I still prefer the tool set on the Juice series. BTW - I still keep Leatherman Waves or Charges in my EDC Tool Kits for my primary bags (called Secondary EDCs by some EDC Pundit on TH-cam. (Primary: On your person, and Tertiary in your vehicle.) Oh. a Leatherman Skeletool lives in my SCOTTeVEST. 🤷♂️ We’ll see how often a SOG Power tool get into use out of my fifth pocket instead of my old Leatherman Squirt PS4s (which are now 3x the original price on eBay). 😮
Can you only use strap for other 270 awnings?
No, I’m sure you can use it for any Brand!
Thanks for the video, we ordered ours
Hope you like it!
how exciting
Im addicted to their products lol. I have serious purchased half their line up in the past few months. Its a good way to feel lien you own high end products but without paying the price for high end stuff. And i have yet to find any that didn’t feel super high quality. Im always a cheap option kind of guy. I always pick what’s the cheapest on the shelf, but when you spend just a little more you get great stuff like this that isn’t straight up junk like i usually get.
I hear ya! I’ve been very impressed with their stuff!
Still the best mini out there, imo.
It’s pretty great! :)
Great video! Where did you get that handy little magnet?
Thanks! Harbor Freight
@@PostFamilyPilgrimage I realized you mentioned a video on it and checked it out. Thanks and God bless!
Band of brothers my favorite movie!!!!
@PostFamilyPilgrimage the box used to support your fridge looks very interesting. It prints "Overland Rentals". Do you mind sharing the brand name of that box ?
So that’s just a patch I’ve put on there… I used to own the company “overland Rentals” :) That’s the Dobinson drawer system that the fridge sits on 👍
I did mine myself in five hours, but i don't like working with people
How were you able to do it yourself if you don’t mind me asking? I’m most likely going to do mine myself as well but it seems you would at least need a second person to hold things up while the first installs.
@C_Bake221 once the two post are connected I braced them. Then put my front and backs on and tied it together. Once you get the perimeter it'll stay without braces. I actually screwed my braces to the post, but I put them where I was going to hang some signs. That way there wouldn't be holes in the post for no reason. Could fill them with wood filler as well.
@@jasonhorsley6820 Thanks for the reply. Yeah I figured you braced with something. What did you use to brace? 2x4s? I’m not a fan of putting unnecessary holes in the posts tho so still kinda leaves me 🤔
@C_Bake221 I used 2*4s I agree but doing it yourself is a give and take situation. I did pre-plan the holes for later use, but yes I would have definitely preferred not having to go that route. Still turned out great though. Surprisingly the screws I used you couldn't even see where they were when I took the braces out. Well hardly noticeable. If you can get another set of hands that's the best route.
@@C_Bake221 This was my personal project if I was to build one for a customer I'd definitely have someone else with me.
Even with aligning the red tabs, I always seem to have access in all the corners where the velcro line doesn't lay smooth and has like a gap. Have you run into this and if so, how do you smooth it out. Mine is the T4 bought brand new in 2021.
I’ve not had this issue, bud, I apologize.
There’s a needle tucked into the scale by the corkscrew too.
Gave up at 0.25. That putting your hand up behind the power pint to I guess help the focussing doesn't help at all, it makes it so much worse. Sorry dude, all the best mind.
Is the scales tight against the metal on the pin side? I’m having issues with the pin staying inside
Yes, they are… if you are having a problem, let it all soak in really hot water for a bit… that softens the scales and allows them to go on a bit easier 👍🏻
where did you buy these from? do you have a link? looking to do the exact same
These were his originals my son just never had them on. But, I do have a link for replacements! amzn.to/4dqLzh5 Hope this helps!
The Power Pint is goated
Get hand out why do people do that Jesus
I have ~1000 lbs. of Legos for sale.
what 5 speed transaxle do you have. i’m looking to upgrade. beautiful vanagon. we have an 83 westy same color.
Thank you! It was AA Transaxle out of Seattle Washington 👍 Luckily for me, the previous owner had all that work done! :)
I bought the same camp kitchen on FB market place and it fits perfect in my 2dr Sidekick when in cargo mode...going to get split back seats so I can sleep in the drivers seat and still have kitchen available. I also bought a chilly Moose Fridge/freezer that can stack on top to hold it down along with the ratchet strap...all set for a road trip across Canada in a couple weeks Thank you for doing these videos
Awesome! Glad it worked out for you! Wow… Canada! Amazing! Enjoy!
Hi! A nice video. I am from Russia and I wear my Swisschamp every day as the best solution for an EDC knife. It has a lot of delicate functions, which, as a rule, are the most in demand in the city. And besides, this knife warms the soul..)
Greatstar USA is a Chinese company controlled by the CCP.
Looking into the same setup, with the dobinson drawer and I have the dometic fridge. Any issues opening the fridge door when slid out?
No problems! I do have the Dometic 55 and I pull it out just far enough that I am able to use the seal of the door hatch to help hold the fridge open for me :) it works perfect for me!
Thank you!
Last question any issues with the drawers? Rattle, bad rollers? Anything?
@@MiniLandAdventuresRC no issues... and I've had them for a while now! Plus my friend had had them a few years before I received them. For him one of the locks struggled to open at times. I never had that issue. no rattles. Every now and then, if I'm bouncing around hard, one will open. I have to be doing some tough trails, but one will open and I can hear it sliding and hitting the back of the liftgate. No issue for me as they are covered in carpet. But it's very rare that they open.
Howdy, could I get you to measure the width of the bottom base that the stove would set on please and thank you? I'm looking at a stove that's 17"x21"
Will do tomorrow, thanks! Sorry I didn’t see this sooner!
The next time you feel compelled to buy some gadget that you don't need, consider getting a camera that focuses faster instead because it's really distracting and lowers the quality of your video a lot for you to be constantly trying to focus items with your hand
@@DrewDragoon The next time you feel compelled to leave a negative, pointless comment, make sure you do it less than a year and a half after the video has been made. New equipment has been used ever since. 😂 Cheers Drew. Of course I’m just messing with ya.

I just bought the Listg investing it as an addition to some emergency kits that I am making. It's pretty tiny. I can't imagine it would be practical for anyone with big hands. It seems like good quality for a box opener or for finger nail grooming emergencies. Opening packages that kind of thing.

Love that! Will have to give that a try as well! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment! 👍
I've been a fan of the Huntsman for years.
I couldn't wait till midnight to start cooking dinner. I'd need to eat something while in Harrison, even if it was a roast chicken from Walmart.
@@velvetjones1856 I probably should have! LOL. Shows you where my mind was… I get so focused on something, I forget everything else at times.
I just bought a Power Pint. The pliers are no longer loose. They are just as tight as the Power Litre. The scissors barely opened halfway. I fixed this by sanding down the bulging nub a little and slightly bending the spring more to the left.
@@Sgreubel Awesome! Glad to hear it!
The scissors on mine seem useless? How do you feel about them?
@@rolandotorres9741I agree completely! I am sold on Victorinox’s scissors! These on the SOG just cannot compare!
Do you carry any tools with you? I know with my CVT RTT I try to keep extra hardware and tools to do repairs should that happen to me 😬 woolum from fort smith is a trek sucked that happened!

Do you think this tent could sleep two adults and five children? Thanks.
@@JimmyDevere I do! It might be pretty cozy but yes, absolutely, you could! My son has slept up there with 5 other 16 year olds on a big camping trip and they all seemed to be just fine! It really is a huge tent! :)
@@PostFamilyPilgrimage Thank you! I really appreciate the info!
@@JimmyDevere you bet! I assumed you were talking about the 23zero. Sorry. I'll clarify. The Gazelle may be snug for that many of you. I personally feel you can all fit in the 23zero pretty good. I would suggest the bigger Gazelle though if you are looking at the Gazelle. They make a 2 room tent that would give your family more space if you were talking about the ground tent.
