Spraying RC Liquid Mask - 6 bodies in 17 minutes start to finish
มุมมอง 2.1Kปีที่แล้ว
Here is how I use #SprayLat liquid mask for prepping my rc bodies. Spraying on liquid mask is 10x easier than brushing. I didn't do it for years as I thought it was too messy and too hard to do....100% wrong. 6 bodies sprayed in 17 minutes, including clean up.

How to sell more cars through injecting inspection...
Thanks for sharing your methods of painting. The body came out real nice. 👍
Did you use the finger flicking technique (that's what she said) for that florescent green/yellow? and did it stay that bright backing it with black? or did you back it with something else? I've been super curious about bright color splatter with dark backgrounds.
I've been painting RC bodies for years now but only with tape and rattle cans. I'm just about to start my airbrush journey and I've been binging your videos as they are super informative and helpful. Keep up the awesome work and videos, much appreciated! Cheers my dude!
Variation I saw on that style is blueprint, make clean lines in pale blue, paint in darker blue.
THANK YOU …….🔥😎💨💨💨
Can you brush it on too? Ive never used it before. I typical use tape but i wanted to try it out
Thanks Marc
great how to video! gunna attempt my first one for my nephew.
what size spray needle are you using?
When you shadow do u use transparent paint or opaque?
What if your clear body is already cut out and has stickers for it so a Traxxas RC body
Are you thinning it down with water or putting it directly into tbe air gun?
Excellent work as always Marc!!!
Thanks for doing another great video, I’m always trying to learn and improve, so appreciate anything you do to help people like me
Hey Marc! Mickey Primo from RC Paint Chat group! I watched, and liked from my girl’s acct just now, but had to come over to mine to comment. Hate I couldn’t make the life feed, but HUGE THANKS for doing this! Rest in Power BK 🙏 Love your content on YT, it’s a huge help, and you’ve been a big influence in my learning! PLEASE keep ‘em coming as you have the desire, and time buddy! 🤘🤙
Awesome to hear sir! Thanks for the feedback!
What pressures on average do you run? I've run 15-25psi depending on my airbrush I'm using. Yours sounds lower, like in to 12-15 range on camera, I found under 15 or so my brush spits way too much. My lower psi brush is an iwata eclipse, my newest and nicest one.
I bet my average pressure will be 30-35. I have a noise cancelling mic, so that is probably why it sounded quiter
@@MarcMcGurren wow, ok so I'm not too far off, thank you! Good to know, great video by the way, always learning stuff from your posts!
Do you warm up the bitty mask at all?
I do not no. I only shake it up
@@MarcMcGurren ok thanks, got gravity fed spray gun on order and brushing on was not great
@@MrSmartstots - just make sure its a HVLP spray gun for liquid mask, just just a gravity feed airbrush. Need that bigger nozzle.
@@MarcMcGurren ordered a hvlp. got a 1.4mm nozzle
Great tips as always keep em coming 👌
Thanks! Will do!
Great tips thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
You don’t know it, but, you’ve become my airbrush mentor! 😂 thanks for another great video
Oh wow! That's awesome to hear! Love it!
Awesome Marc! Thanks for the content, and tips! You’re super easy to follow, and learn from buddy! -Mickey Primo on Fakebook in RC Paint Chat 😜🤙
Great video, thanks for the tips Marc
Awesome! Glad it helped!
Thank you for posting these helpful videos. Much appreciated.
Thanks so much!
thumbs up!!
Thank you!
Thanks brothaman! Good to have a refresher/reminder now and again! 🤙 I tell ya what’s my least favorite, is doing the ever more narrow truggy bodies upper window trim.. Even if I had small hands-it’s such a bear to get in there without being on an angle lol.. any tricks for that situation? Thanks for sharing, and the killer content as always!
Oh man! I know what you are talking about. For those spots (mainly on buggies windows) that are hard to get to with big hands. Get you a short stubby exacto. I found one online, but you can just dremel one of those cheapies down. Either way, you just need a shorter handle, and that helps a ton
Very informative ! I need a headlight .
thank you! And headlights are not my specialty, but maybe next time I am doing them I will video
Hi can I use acrylic paint?
Yes you can!
"I'm gonna try to stay out of the way" [Is visible in every second if video wearing a black shirt to hide all detail of black marker on a clear body.]
Super cool man
Sweet 💫👌🏼
Hi Marc, in another video for BittyDesign you mentioned 3-4 vey light coats, but in this one you said 2 medium coats, have you found 2 medium coats work better for bitty?
Looks good, unique
This is awesome, thank you.
If you can’t work out how to use a camera, there’s NO WAY I’m trusting you for airbrush tips. You utter donut.
more camera on the rc body and less on your face ;o] no offence
Can you explain the difference between using hot air and cool air? I’m new to painting and had a problem after I backed my body in white and the window masks didn’t want to come off clean.
Are you just spraying one thick coat total on the bodies? Bitty says to spray 2-3 coats… the main issue I have is I’m doing small qty (2 shells) at a time and having to wait for the mask to fully dry between coats takes forever
Hey man, I'm painting an and white plastic hearse, want it to be black and white, any sudgestions?
So sorry for my late reply. I think I would just use black/white markets. Maybe silver (for the black), but use the white markers where the black will go, and then the black markers where the white paint will go. Good luck!
wash body- dry body - apply several thin coats of liquid mask- use hair dryer to speed up dry time between coats, mark design on body, with pen , use new sharp blade to cut out design. BRO, MADE A 15.30MINS VIDEO, that should be like 2 mins. thumbs up for effort though.
LOL - I did this for a FB live group on facebook, not for youtube. Just sharing tips....
Awesome
We don’t need your life story. Get to it. lol.
Gday from Israel. What paint do you use? I can only get pro line paint in Israel and I am not happy with it. What paint do you recomend? Great video. Thanks.
Greeting from the US Cass! Proline is usually pretty good, but here in the USA, I bet 75% of my paint is Createx. Or Vallejo is readily available overseas, so that might be the best way to go. Wicked line by createx is great too.
i think i will buy an airbrush set to paint my bodies. i also dont like putting on the bittydesign liquid mask with a brush, because it gets to thick on some places. is it possible to spray the liquid mask with a normal airbrush (0.2 - 0.4mm needle) or should i use a bigger needle or just open the trigger to max or use a special head that sprays very wide?
Hey Nico. If you do brush, best way to do it is 5-6 super light coats. Helps with keeping the mask more uniform As far as spraying, you will HAVE to have a different brush. I use an HVLP gun from Harbor Freight and costs $25 or so. You will also need a "normal size" airbrush hose, not the small hose we use for airbrushing as it can't output enough air to spray the thick mask.
Use your mask please
Do you think you can use Deco markers for this ?
great job fella but id have to wear a mask of some sort
Absolutely have to! When doing these videos, I usually don't wear one
I can't wait to try this!
So much fun to try!
